The TPR is our classic TP pick with corners that are slightly round in a 60/1000th of an inch(1.50mm) thickness. Our picks are all precision machined and hand beveled for the highest quality.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

I got the TPR60 with the speed bevel, it does not sound good on acoustic. I'd gotten the 1.5mm for a warm sound but I think I should have tried the rounded edge instead of the speed bevel. The TAD60-1R with speed bevel sounded much warmer on acoustic, from the attack to the decay.
Its not without its uses on electric on the higher frets though.
Lesson: Don't engrave things on a blue chip pick till you know you chose the right one for you.

I'm a bit of a pick collector, and have tested many, many picks over the 40 years or so I have played and taught guitar. I have three Blue Chip picks now which each give me a different sound, and I absolutely LOVE them. I hardly use any of my other picks these days. Blue Chip picks have almost zero friction, making them a good percentage faster, and the tone is fantastic. Thank you, Blue Chip!

These Bluechip picks are awesome! I thought at first that they were just overpriced accessories that were unneeded. But after using them for 3 to 5 years with little to no wear, great sounds and performance, then I couldn’t be more happy with them. I’ll stick with this pick going forward!

I was first informed about the TPR60 BlueChips by the New Orleans guitarist Molly Reeves, who is one of the greatest contemporary exponents of early jazz and swing music. Her rhythm playing is some of the most tasteful you could hear. She often uses TPR60 picks with the Shake 'em up Jazz Band and the New Orleans Vipers.
Because of the bevel on these they can also be used incredibly well for lead lines and will give the same sort of control and effect that you get when using the shoulder side of a normal pick Stevie Ray Vaughan style.
They are very expensive for us here in the UK with import duty, but worth every cent even so. Roll on a trade deal with the U.S.A. and I'll buy me a load more!

I can play ok with almost any pick but nothing delivers the nuance, warm tone and easy playing TPR60 does. Without a doubt my favorite pick for the electric bass. Nothing else is even close.

The shape and thickness of this beveled pick is really comfortable for Manouche playing which requires a stout pick and an energetic technique. What sets this pick apart from all the others in my estimation is how the surface adheres to my finger tips allowing me to hold the pick very loosely without the pick slipping out of my hand. This allows me to keep a very relaxed wrist and keeps the pick in the optimum position for playing. Great product.

Last year I stopped in at Carter's Vintage Guitars in Nashville and tested a Blue Chip pick with several of their high end, custom mandolins. It sounded fine, but I told them I couldn't decide whether to buy one, given the high price. I said I would have to "have my head examined" to pay that high a price for a single pick! They smiled as I left the store.
Last month, I decided to buy one directly through the website, the TPR 60 just to decide "once and for all" if the Blue Chip Pick was as good as some people claimed. Whether they are worth the high price ($35 plus tx) is a personal decision, but the one I bought produces the best tone of any pick I have ever bought. The TPR 60 produces a balanced tone, smooth tremeloing, and a firm grip that keeps it from slipping from my hand. The Blue Chip is my "go to" pick, and is now my favorite. I can see why people like them so much. Losing track of a Blue Chip pick is always a danger, and they are expensive to replace, so you have to be careful about where you put it after playing.

Best pick I've found. One--sound is full and rich, with virtually no click-sound. Two--it practically become a part of your hand. To look at it and touch it before playing with it, it is, apparently a smooth material. But when playing with it, it just plain stays with your finger and thumb, with no inclination to slip out of position. If you want to do finger-style for a while, you can hold it with a curled finger 3, or 3 and 4, and it just stays put.
The material it's made from, whatever it is, is just a little different than any other pick I've tried (I've got a couple of bowls full). Here's something pointless but fun you can do: after holding the pick as you ordinarily do, move your thumb away so the pick is just on your index finger, Then rotate that finger till the pick is totally vertical--it won't fall! It just really wants to stay on your finger.
I use it mostly with a Tele and ES-175, with 12-high strings.
I keep it in a little tin that held Burt's Bees Lip Balm, along with a cotton ball so it doesn't click around in the tin.
