Product Description

The TPR is our classic TP pick with corners that are slightly round in a 50/1000th of an inch(1.25mm) thickness.  Our picks are all precision machined and hand beveled for the highest quality.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. TPR 50, best rounded pick I've tried 5 Star Review

Posted by on 17th Jan 2013

After using the TP 50 for few weeks I decied to try the TPR 50 for a less bright sound. I'm very happy with the results in both sound and playability. Also worth mentioning the great customer service.

  2. thank you bluechip. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Dec 2012

For years I've been looking for a pick that gave me the tone and feel I needed without continuing to work and shape it until it was time for me to fine another one. TPR - 50 was made for me, Bluegrass and bluechip picks, keeping the music real. Kevin Carter; lead guitar player with Full Assurance.

  3. Smooth 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Nov 2012

Now have three blue chip picks. This is by the best for my mandolin playing. I can hold it well yet it comes off the strings so smoothly. This is indeed the pick for me in the years ahead

  4. Clear Tone! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th Nov 2012

I've been using TPR40 picks for about 2 1/2 years. Decided to try the bit stiffer TPR50 to improve tone while flatpicking, especially at faster tempo's. Very happily have noticed an improvement in tone regardless of tempo, flatpicking or playing rythm.

  5. Last brand of pick I will ever need to buy. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Oct 2012

I have been using my Blud Chip pick for over a year now - same one - and am thoroughly sold on it. I play with a fiddle band and do quite a bit of flatpicking and strumming. This pick does not wear out and it makes every guitar I own sound more full in tone. I recommend it for anyone.

  6. What I've been looking for 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Sep 2012

I been using Red Bear picks for a couple of years now. I like the tone but the problem is they break. The BlueChip TPR 50 has better tone and appears to be indestructible. It's also easy to hold (doesn't slip out easily). It's a little shorter than I'd like but I'm getting use to it. I'll be ordering more soon.

  7. Best Pick I ever had! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Aug 2012

This pick was easy to hold and hold onto. It spreads smoothly across the string when playing chords or taking breaks on my guitar. It also did well when playing my mando. I plan on buying more.

  8. Perfect for Mandolin 5 Star Review

Posted by on 31st Jul 2012

I saw the TPR45 was custom designed for Doyle, so i figured this design was more than likely what I was looking for. I was right! Great Job Guys!! Absolutely my favorite pick, the tortoise has been stashed away.

  9. Pick of the picks 5 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Jul 2012

The TPR 50 gives me a beautiful, bell-like tone and great control. I have yet to see any sign of wear after 2 years. I've tried most of the high-end, boutique picks out there, including real tortoise, and the BlueChip suits me best. The tortoises of the world thank you.

  10. Acoustic Guitar Heaven 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Jun 2012

I thought my TPR45 was the best Blue Chip I've played for acoustic guitar until I got my TPR50. The TPR50 is an even better thickness for me and I really like the rounded edge shape for my bluegrass style of guitar playing. I tried a TPR60 which didn't do it for me but the TPR50 is just what the doctor ordered.........
