    The Perfect Pick

Posted by Wayne on 3rd Jan 2014

I have bought a couple of these picks now hoping to build my inventory. However, at Christmas I always offer a pick to my guitar instructor who also plays a mandolin. He grabbed this one and absolutely raves about it. As a result I am down to one and will have to purchase another.

    BLUE CHIP

Posted by Mark Crowder on 6th Jul 2013

Ive had to get used to it it is thinner than my favorite wegen, which Ive become quite fond of. The blue chip produces a much cleaner brighter tone and is very fast, does not hang on the strings at all.It is a very good pick ,I find myself switching back and forth,I think I would like one that is a little heavier though I must say I am quite pleased.

Fabulous picks -- and equally fabulous customer service!

Posted by Steven M. Block on 11th Jun 2013

Blue Chips picks have already achieved legendary status among serious pickers, so I scarcely need extoll their many virtues here. Yes, they are pricey, but the material itself (an advanced polyimide plastic) is very costly, so that's to be expected. Just be sure not to put your pick where you might lose it, and don't lend it out! I especially appreciate how willing Blue Chip has been to allow exchanges/returns until I identified the perfect pick type for my playing. And for me, the icing on the cake is that they were able to provide me with their TPR pick -- a great shape for mandolin -- in a 0.055" thickness (a "TPR55"). And this isn't even on the menu, so to speak! And there was no extra charge. Now, that's going the extra mile. Hurray for Blue Chip. Great product, great service.

    TPR 50 - Still can't believe it...

Posted by Rags Moonie on 25th Jan 2013

I purchased a TRP50 and a TREP 60. The TRP50 is beautiful. It glides off of each string and with the "speed bevel" I play noticably faster and with greater tone. The TRP 50 is a "heavy" pick but with the produces te toal brilliance of a "medium" pick. OH and I drop it way less than those other plastic and other material picks. Don;'t waste your time or money on anything other than a BlueChip Pick. I Love it!

TPR 50, best rounded pick I've tried

Posted by Miguel Rodriguez on 17th Jan 2013

After using the TP 50 for few weeks I decied to try the TPR 50 for a less bright sound. I'm very happy with the results in both sound and playability. Also worth mentioning the great customer service.

    thank you bluechip.

Posted by Kevin Carter on 6th Dec 2012

For years I've been looking for a pick that gave me the tone and feel I needed without continuing to work and shape it until it was time for me to fine another one. TPR - 50 was made for me, Bluegrass and bluechip picks, keeping the music real. Kevin Carter; lead guitar player with Full Assurance.

    Smooth

Posted by Vermont Mandoman on 24th Nov 2012

Now have three blue chip picks. This is by the best for my mandolin playing. I can hold it well yet it comes off the strings so smoothly. This is indeed the pick for me in the years ahead

    Clear Tone!

Posted by Bob Quinn on 15th Nov 2012

I've been using TPR40 picks for about 2 1/2 years. Decided to try the bit stiffer TPR50 to improve tone while flatpicking, especially at faster tempo's. Very happily have noticed an improvement in tone regardless of tempo, flatpicking or playing rythm.

Last brand of pick I will ever need to buy.

Posted by Rich Reynolds on 4th Oct 2012

I have been using my Blud Chip pick for over a year now - same one - and am thoroughly sold on it. I play with a fiddle band and do quite a bit of flatpicking and strumming. This pick does not wear out and it makes every guitar I own sound more full in tone. I recommend it for anyone.
