TPR40

I have several of these picks ranging from 35 to 50, because I was not quite sure of the style of thickness based on Blue Chip standards. Before using Blue Chip, I used a heavy guage fender plastic tear drop. I play it sideways using one of the rounded corners. A Blue Chip "35" is comparable regarding feel. I also ordered a TPR "40", but asked for a "35" thickness in that shape and they were more than happy to accommodate. The feel of this pick is quite fluid....it just seems that there is no resistance at all. I'm able to play my mistakes at blazing speeds now.....LOL...enjoy...great product.

Recently purchased this pick. Already had the XR60 and the SR50. Love them, especially with newer strings. Thought I would try the TPR40 to use when the strings are beginning to lose their tone. Works great! Now I have the choice of a more mellow tone with the 50 or 60, or brighten things up with the new TPR40. Love me some Blue Chip picks!!!

It's a nice pick, but imported to the UK it cost over £50 after tax, which is pretty bonkers for a plectrum. Having said that it seems very smooth and gives a nice clear and natural sound. Would I buy again? For £20 yes- for £50, it's not really good value for money.

I have played guitar for over 60 years and in that time I have used many different types of picks, and I can say without a doubt that the BlueChip picks are the best I have ever used. As the President and CEO of the Southeastern Bluegrass Association and a performing professional bluegrass musician I would recommend the BlueChip Picks to anyone looking for a great product. I prefer the TPR40 when playing my old Martin because it brings out the tone and feels smooth to me when playing rhythm or when flatpicking. I also used a BlueChip thumb pick when playing my Banjo. I play and write Celtic music and have been trying, for some time, to find the right pick that would enhance "my" tonal sound. Finally found it..the TPR40. Bigger tone on my Mando, reduced pick noise but, more importantly, a noticeable increase in clarity and sustain of notes. It feels so natural in my hand and has simply elevated my playing to another level. I'm hooked.

I was skeptical - after all it's just a piece of plastic....but there was a noticeable difference right off the bat - Better tone and the pick seems to glide more smoothly across the strings - and though it's smooth, it doesn't slip in my fingers. I play mandolin and got a TPR 40, which is closest in shape to what I normally use - I will definitely buy another and also try a different shaped one as well - I highly recommend this product

I've been using the BlueChip TP in various thicknesses over the last few years, most recently their 48. After seeing something closer to the shape of the TPR in the hands of one of my favorite players on YouTube I ordered a TPR45. I found it too dark in tone so I downsized to a 40. The TPR40 is still darker in tone than the TP48 but the rounded corners allow me to play bluegrass lead quite a bit faster and with a more even volume. I would describe the TPR as more forgiving that the TP and worth a try if you're a TP user looking for a smoother sound. Of course it goes without saying that the BlueChip material is outstanding for durability.

I was skeptical that any pick in the world could be worth $35. I was wrong. This pick is worth all of that. Love the tone I get when using it - no "clicking" noise. And love the way it feels. Now I just need to make sure I don't lose it.
