The TPR is our classic TP pick with corners that are slightly round in a 40/1000th of an inch(1.0mm) thickness. Our picks are all precision machined and hand beveled for the highest quality.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

Although I have several BC picks that have magically appeared over the last few years, this TPR 40 was not purchased for me. I entered into a pick-for-pick swap with another member of the UMGF, who lives in Kansas (I'm in New York City), and the one I sent him never arrived (shame on you, USPS—my handwriting is as clear as a mountain stream). So, to ensure that he did not feel cheated, I purchased this pick and had it sent to him. It did arrive, and he likes it a great deal.
I am fairly partial to BC picks, usually in the 35 - 45 thickness variety, which complements my picking style. So, I'll give this 5 stars based on my friend's email to me, and please accept my apologies for not being able to review this one.
Cheers and regards.

The quality of blue chips has been established over and over. I write to express appreciation for extraordinary customer service. I have made several orders over time. In one instance, the company agreed to change one pick to add all three tips with a rounded end. In another instance, I ordered two picks but got just one. No questions asked, the second pick was in the mail that date. In both instances, I handled by phone and have never been treated more courteously.

This is a high performance pick. I was skeptical but is glides over the strings. Im genuinely impressed.

I’m losing track how many Blue Chips we own, but we’re working up to one in every case. I already own e TPR 40’s, my favorite for pretty much any level of mandolin build. My husband likes that large size with slightly pointier corners for all his Martins. We both like 40’s. Our friends all love. I have not found an instrument yet that a Blue Chip won’t make sound better than any other pick. Even a tortoise.
Highly recommend.

I have tried way more picks than I can count, including many Blue Chips. And this one is the best for me. The rounded edges help produce my preferred darker tone, and make moving across the strings as easy as can be. Very satisfied.

I had read a lot about these picks and decided to buy one. The feel and durability is great, but the tone I get out of my acoustic guitar is so much better when compared to using other picks. I would highly recommend these picks.

This pick works very well with Om guitars with light strings. The guitar has a warm but articulate sound using this pick. The pick shape is comfortable for both strumming and flatpicking. As with all Blue Chip picks the design and craftsmanship make these picks very enjoyable to play with.

I love these picks! The tone is warm and bright and clear at the same time. No plastic or harsh sound.I can feel the smooth direct contact with the strings.

I have played guitar for over 60 years and in that time I have used many different types of picks, and I can say without a doubt that the BlueChip picks are the best I have ever used.
As the President and CEO of the Southeastern Bluegrass Association and a performing professional bluegrass musician with my band Georgia Grass I would recommend the BlueChip Picks to anyone looking for a great product. I prefer the TPR45 when playing my old Martin because it brings out the tone and feels smooth to me when playing rhythm or when flatpicking. I also used a BlueChip thumb pick when playing my Banjo. I also like the fact that you can have your name engraved on your pick.
Thank You for a Great Product

I’ve played the TPR 40 for 1 week … incredibly tacky in the hand and doesn’t slip around yet slick and butter when I strum the strings . Interesting. Comfortable and great overall tone . I’ll be buying the TPR 50 soon for Archtop with Flatwounds . Picks matter . -Ryan Ness
