The TD is a standard teardrop shape pick with two rounded corners and one sharper playing corner. This is a TD in a 50/1000 of an inch(1.25mm) thickness. All of our picks a professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

I've currently have a TP50-1R, TP60-1R, and a CT55. I had a TD50 and even though I've always used teardrop shaped picks in the past, for some reason the material Blue Chip uses and the way it interacts with the string makes me prefer the larger size picks and that preference now allows me greater accuracy when alternate picking without posting. I gave all 3 types of picks I have now 5 stars (see those reviews if you're interested) and I only gave the TD50 4 stars, not because I didn't love it, but just because I love the other ones more. Blue Chip has a really great exchange policy but if you are used to teardrop shaped picks you might want to start out with the larger sized ones. There's something about the way the pick interacts with the string that lets you get away with a larger pick that actually (at least for me) INCREASES the subjective feeling of accuracy I get with them.

I've been using these picks since 2016 when my flatpicking guitar teacher Roberto Dalla Vecchia has recommended them, since then I've only used those, I had two, now I'm four and I'm a happy guitarist.

I’m just a regular ole guitar player, and just recently got the TD50 but as soon as I started on my D-60 I could hear the crisp and clean tones that the TD50 was working. Im glad I decided to get it!!

I'm very pleased with feel and tone. I have other blue chip picks, but by far this one is the best.

Until BlueChip picks, I chewed through picks like candy. My only complaint is when you lose one, it's like losing a friend...and once in a great while they vanish into thin air...perhaps they vaporize, or spontaneously combust. Seriously, one I've had for a while fell, and I looked over every square inch of my basement, and can't locate it! Tis is obviously a design flaw...hahahaha!!
They're simply the best.

Don't think I ever realized how much of what I heard actually came from the pick I was using. The TD50 stays out of the way and I feel much closer to the guitar's actual tone. Love this pick whether flat picking or playing rhythm. It's a keeper!

I love all of my BlueChip picks !they have the cleanest attack and are the easiest to hang on to.I have been using BlueChip picks for 9 years and have never wore one out.I love this TD50 because you have the point of the pick and the side of the pick, its like 2 picks in one.

Everything you read here about the tone and feel of these picks is true. The lubricant thing must be too because the pick moves across the strings so well. There is some wear but I'm talking months instead of hours. And the best thing is I have not dropped this pick once during a gig - so secure in the hand.

My brother bought me one of these picks and, to say the least, I was skeptical it was worth the money. It is. It will make you play better. Honest. It's so good I bought two more, one as a back-up and one to give a friend. He loved it, too. He brought it to a song writing camp and said all the other attendees tried to steal it. One complaint. It shouldn't cost another $4+ to ship you a pick. Shipping should be free.

Still perfect. Nothing else produces the same tone.
