So, I saw Blue Chip Picks several years ago in a shop. The price was shocking since I was accustomed to spending less than a dollar for a pick. I play guitar in a bluegrass band, flatpicking and hard, fast rhythm. I used Fender Extra Heavy picks for years. Everyone I knew was using Blue Chip Picks, guitar and mando players. All swore by Blue Chip. So I squirreled some money away and bought a Blue Chip. The cheap skeptic is now a bonified believer!! I love it!! I swear I play better, louder and with better control. Absolutely worth the investment. Saving now for a back up (I sometimes loose things). Blue Chip will be the only pick I'll use. If you are like I was - skeptical about the value for the price - save some dollars and take the leap! You will become a believer!!

I recently bought one of these at a local store going on recommendations from friends. I prefer a thick pick with little to no give in it. I have always struggled with the pick sliding around in my grip making it difficult to play. This pick sticks like glue where you hold it! No more sliding! The speed bevel flies off the strings and gives the great tone I like with ease. My accuracy and speed was increased very noticeably. I like the one I bought local so well I decided I had to have one in each guitar case! Well worth the money and after hard playing for 3 weeks shows no signs of wear.

Other folks have said it all and I whole heartedly agree. This is the very best quality pick ever. The volume of sound, the tonal quality, the fact that you can easily soften the tone (due to the bevel?). This pick will not slip or even turn in my fingers. I am a customer for life.

I bought my first Blue Chip 2 years ago, the CT-55, but I lost it recently, so I purchased the TD-50 as a replacement. Both picks have the same quality of design and function -- superior feel of the pick in various conditions ~ dry, oily or wet. The beveled edges have allowed me to adjust my picking hand technique for smoother flatpicking. AND...the best tone I have ever had for bluegrass!
The $35 price tag is well worth it...I recommend it for anyone who wants to get the most out of their playing.

TD50...these picks were recommend to me by a veteran Nashville
session player...He told me they had to be played to be believed...
I told him this must be a Tennessee myth like the Kentucky
bluegrass being blue....the customer service staff was very
helpful....so I figured that I would give a TD 50 a try...WOW!...
I sat for an hour alternating between the Blue Chip and a number
of mandolin picks...NO comparison...Stereo vs Mono...clarity,
volume if wanted...Damn..no words can capture...subsequently
I bought two more, purchased the banjo JD Crowe thumbpick
and finger picks...The picks are worth every penny...if you think
they are expensive for what they are...then give up the mandolin.

Very loud and clean sounding notes. The tone is well balanced with minimal pick noise. The grip is tacky and glides like butter off the strings. A very fun pick to use.

I have used the TD50 for a few years now. I have four of them. I have used a number of others. I end up going back to this one.

When my teacher flatpicking Roberto Dalla Vecchia to the May 2016 workshop, I did try her pick Blue Chip I knew it was not a normal pick.
The pick was beautiful and often gave great precision to the strumming on the guitar, and the sound was loud and clear.
So I decided that I also wanted to pick the Blue Chip.
Now I am very happy and my Martin D41 guitar sounds very good with new picks.

I like the strength that this pick has it really brings out the complete tone and a quality sound in my guitar. I would have never believed it until I tried one. Your cat go wrong Winthrop a blue chip pick. Great product.
