I have always been open to trying new things and this is one of my new favorite Picks to use!

Like a lot of guitarists I’ve tried so many picks and after years I thought I had already found my favorites. I just learned of blue chip picks through checking out videos of Julian Lage and thought to give it a try. It has basically every feature of the different picks I loved all rolled into one pick: it has the lack of annoying pluck sound that I loved about my D’Andrea Pro Plec while being a bit less dark, much more durable, and to my taste, having a more comfortable width. It has the articulation that I loved from my Dunlop Ultex 1.0, and the mid-warmth of my Herco Flex 75.
Plus some features of its own not on any other pick: it feels great and stable in your hand, and it slides off the strings smoothly.
I just came back from a two week tour and used my blue chip exclusively. The only issue for me is that it’s so pricey that I’m constantly worried I’ll drop it and lose it.

I was skeptical at first but after playing with the Td50 it’s comfortable and I did notice a difference in tone over any of my other picks.

$35 is more than my first guitar cost, and seemed a lot for a pick until I looked around my music room. After playing a friend’s TD50, I ordered one and was pleased that it, like his, sounded brighter than any of my heavy picks, and felt faster off the strings than my usual .73 yellow Tortex (Tortexes? Torti?) picks.
Finally, firmness & brightness in one pick! Fast & bouncy!
Now, where did I leave it?

I have been playing acoustic and electric guitar for over 40 years and have tried almost every pick available. I tried my first BlueChip pick several years ago and was immediately impressed by its superior performance. These picks glide effortlessly across the strings, yet they have a very slight tacky feel in contact with fingers making them very easy to hold without slipping or rotating. They also sound better than any else I have tried. I still own and use the original TD 40 I bought several years ago - these picks wear very slowly over time. - they seem to last forever. I recently started using the heavier gauge TD 50 and am really pleased with it. Also, these guys are the best in terms of customer service. Highly recommended.

I was doubtful about how good it would be but hey, I needed a Christmas present for myself! First thing I noticed was no bounce. I find a lot of picks bounce me off the strings. Another picker described the pick like this “the pick stays with me”. I thought I was crazy describing my problem but he knew exactly what I meant when talking about flatpicking.
Another thing I liked was very little pick noise. the picks are beveled and highly polished so I believe that is the key. Some picks sound like a jailbird trying to file his way out of prison!

I discovered these at a Blue Grass Festival in Raleigh a couple of years ago. I couldn't imagine a pick being worth $35, but decided to splurge and find out. I'm so glad i did. These minimize pick noise on the string, produce a warm but well articulated tone, and are oh so smooth and fast. The best $35 an acoustic guitar player could spend !

I’ve had two for 5 years. No noticeable wear. I had trouble gripping picks. Not these. I’ll periodically compare these to other picks and I still think these are the best sounding and most comfortable pick I’ve found. I use them with my D-28 and my Telecaster. The 50 is the perfect thickness for me - not too thick but definitely substantial. Thanks for making my forever pick!

I tried very hard to justify the price to the performance I can not do
so. I have been using Dunlop Primetone and still using. I have framed the blue chip as bad purchase. Those thinking of making a purchase the Blue Chip picks should try the primetone first.

Just love the way it's already bevelled. Makes my stroke a little smoother, while not losing that pitchy sound. To me it's perfect for different styles of playing. In my case flatpickin' bluegrass tunes....
