This is my fourth Blue Chip pick, two for me, and two as gifts. When using it on the mandolin the pick seems to glide over the strings, and makes standard plastic picks feel like they are dragging. It also produces better, fuller sound. Its not the same as just using a really thick pick, this size is thick enough to pull sound out of an acoustic instrument, but is still manageable. When used on a acoustic guitar it does the same. Pulls more sound out of the instrument. It feels better when playing, and i am uncomfortable playing without them. One of the few items on the list of replace immediately if lost. With that in mind, don’t drop it on the ground in the fall when there are brownish leaves everywhere. Took me 45 minutes to find it, but i spent the time because its worth it. If your playing a multi thousand dollar guitar/mandolin, why sell it short with a regular pick. You dont out regular unleaded in your ‘64 corvette.

As a mandolin player for a cowboy band, I have purchased both the TD40, and TD5. They made such a difference in my playing, that I gifted one to our guitar playing leader as well as our worship leader at church, assuring them that if it made half the difference with them that it did with my playing, they’d never use anything else. Playing guitar for over 50 years, and mandolin for 20,I bought my first Blue Chip as an experiment, after reading numerous reviews. Quickly became a believer in these picks. Made me better. Thanks Blue Chip..!!

I'm a stiff pick guy. I started with a 60 - loved it. Got a 55, thinner but just as stiff - loved it more. Got the 40 - a stiff pick with just a touch of give to it. It gives a little snap that I don't get with the 55/60. It's a hell of a lot of fun. Still stiff enough for good control and the "snap" give me a little more volume when I dig in.
I love this pick.

I recently received a custom TAD 40 with a CT 55 speed bevel. I’ve owned and used dozens of picks and this is the fastest pick I have ever used. BC made this pick quickly and got it to me right away. Mathew was great to work with. I couldn’t be happier.

I put off purchasing Blue Chip picks for over two years.... wish I would have done it 20 years ago. Well worth it... an exceptional value for the quality!

I absolutely love the feel and speed of this pick! I can lightly grip it and it stays secure. Love the tone.

I love all blue chip products I have tried. They don’t disappoint. I was weary of spending that kind of money on a pick but I would never use anything else.
