This is the TAD pick in 40/1000 of an inch(1.0mm) thickness. It is shaped identically to the TP, but is slightly larger. All BlueChip Picks are professionally machined, laser engraved, and hand beveled.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

I have other Bluechip picks, but this one the TAD 40 is just what I needed. It’s fast with tremolo on my mandolin, when I strum it’s just perfect and it doesn’t move around like some picks can when your fingers get hot and sweaty. I couldn’t ask for a better pick. I’ll be getting another one soon. And I got it quickly too. Thanks folks.

Love that there's plenty of surface to hang on to and the 40 thinness seems brighter than the 55 I have.
Makes my 50s 18s nice and loud. I can really dig in for rhythm arpeggiation

I use it exclusively on my Martin D-28 Modern Deluxe. Exactly the sound I was looking for - no click, just pick.

The only pick I have used that is excellent for both acoustic and electric guitar. Well balanced and great value!

I've been playing guitar since about twelve years old. I bought a Blue Chip 55 for my fifty year old Guild, then another when I got my Collings dream guitar. I have two more guitars now made by my luthier cousin and I bought two Blue Chip 40's. I love them all for playing my style of mostly bluegrass and bluegrass gospel. Thank you for a superior product!!!

I’ll never use another brand of pick. I will go through many more different models of this brands picks until I find the one meant for me. Really amazing the difference it makes. Pretty wild.

This pick is very wide and while it has great tone and reflex, it does tend to get slippery due to the large size.
Would definitely recommend this pick, but it could use a grip.

I've been using a TAD40 as my primary pick through five years of music school. It sounds and feels great for steel and nylon string acoustic, mandolin, electric bass and guitar. Mine recently broke, but that was because someone used it to pry something open. With regular use I'm sure it had a few more years. Anyways, I've bought a new one of course and can't wait to start breaking it in.

My second of this model. They do wear.
Same feedback as before... The brown is nice but if dropped in low light, it's gone. The surface texture is highly polished and tends to slip a bit if hands get sweaty. Maybe a textured option would be a good idea.

I never thought a pick would change my sound, tone of my guitar both acoustic and electric.
When I first received my Blue Chip pick I was extremely skeptical .
Not now. I played that pick the first day and noticed a difference right way.
So I went right back to their website and ordered a second one!
Great product.
