The STP is a smaller version of the TP. It is the same basic size as our Kenny Smith signature pick, but has sharper corners. The STP in a 50 thickness is the pick that Adam Steffey currently uses. This is the STP in 40/1000ths of an inch thickness(1.0mm). All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched. This pick comes with a speed bevel.

BlueChip STP40 is the epitome of a guitar pick...I play bluegrass, jazz and country on both acoustic and electric guitar...the tone and volume it creates is xllnt...this smaller size tri tip is perfect...I highly recommend the STP40 and STP50 to anyone searching for the perfect pick...give the STP a try, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

I found the STP to be a great size for electric guitar, especially. The speed, smoothness and tone are exceptional and you can finesse great dynamics out of this pick. I got the round bevel and one rounded corner for my own style and needs. Thanks to Matthew and Allen for meeting my needs and their great service.

I was sceptical, i admit it, that's a lot of money for a pick but i love these STP picks. I started with a 50 and am now completely hooked on the 40. It's perfect for the (looser, played with feel) electric bluesy stuff i like to play, not too stiff and such nice attack/tone.

I just received this pick as a Christmas gift from my wife. It is very high quality and feels good in the hand. The bevel is perfect and I expect it will last a very long time. Great product!

This pick reminds me of a great amp in that it responds to every nuance of your right hand. Stays on your fingers better than any pick I've tried too. Last but not least tone may be the best quality. Will mellow out harsh sound frequencies allowing you to hear more out of chords and single notes while being easier on your ear at the same time. Simply put, I've tried a bunch of picks and since I've got this one its all I use, period. Expensive yes. Worth it? Without question.

I love Blue Chip picks - they sound better than Tortoise, and they're easier to hold onto. I have them custom made for me and the folks there are super accommodating! I learned about them from my frequent picking buddies Clay Hess and Jack Lawrence. I LOVE these picks :)

Great pick. Perfect size, feel, and sound on the strings.

I got this one along with the STP 50mm which I prefer to the 40mm. I think I would like them both slightly smaller. The material is great and cannot be beat. The real challenge with these
great picks is not being able to test them. Even if you have played with them before like I have, it is always great to do side by side
comparisons.

I have been using one of your picks since about 2009. It saw a lot of miles and was the best pick I ever owned. Recently someone decided to help themselves to my favorite pick. They took it from my guitar after a sound check while I had my back turned. I ordered a new one but, I order one that was too small. This was the first time I actually bought one online. I tried to use the new one but it just doesn't have the feel I need. I will have to buy a larger one. For the money I have to spend, I really need to be able to try it out to make sure it works. I really can't do that with your return policy. As soon as I play one song it's voids your return policy. With a good pick, sometimes it takes an hour of jamming before you can find out if it grips right in your fingers. I will buy another one but, it won't be online. I can't afford to drop $40 on a pick I can't use. I'm sure I'll find someone around my part of the state of NC that has them so I won't have to drive 2.5 to 3 hours to get one. I can't wait to get another one that is right for me and I have done nothing but endorse your picks since 2009. I have let everyone that has come into my recording studio try my Bluechip and they are always blown away at the sound.

I had been playing Dunlop Sharkfin picks for over 30 years and was so used to the feel that standard shaped picks became impossible for me to use. It's been a real bad habit and I knew it was limiting my speed picking. I heard great reviews about these and thought I'd give the STP 40 a try. I got used to the feel after a night of playing with it and have never felt so much accuracy with picking before!
