Product Description
This pick was custom designed and created for Kenny Smith. It is the exact style that he is currently using. The Kenny Smith signature picks are very similar to a TPR, but slightly smaller. This is the 40/1000 of an inch(1.0mm) which is the thickness of Kenny's personal BlueChip Pick.

Review Of KS-40

I was turned on to this pick by Kenny Smith himself. I've been using larger BC picks (TAD 1R 40s and 50s) up to now. I thought getting used to a much smaller pick would be more of a challenge but it was easy. I really like the sound this pick imparts to the treble strings in particular. It gives them a punchiness and sweet sounding top end ring. And I find they are better for speed picking. The points are rounded just right. I was using the rounded points of TAD 1R 40s and 50s but they would occasionally get hung up on the string/s during speedy passages. This doesn't occur with the KS picks. They also sound great for strumming. Both the KS-35 and KS-40 are my new favorite picks now. I highly recommend them.

I always thought "Kenny Smith, that boy sure can pick!". Little did I know, all I needed was a Kenny Smith signature pick like his. First thing that happened after opening the package is Studebaker came streaming out of the pick as though I was channeling Kenny in my room. Now I don't have to practice. Sweet!
