Product Description

The Jazz pick is very similar in size and shape to the Dunlop Jazz 3 pick.  This is a Jazz in a 60/1000 of an inch(1.5mm) thickness. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched. This pick has a universal rounded bevel.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. Truly Amazing 5 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Dec 2012

If you like the size and feel of Dunlop Jazz III picks, the Blue Chip Jazz 60 will be a welcome upgrade. The Blue Chip is easier to hold than the Dunlop and has less friction on the strings. But the real reason to invest in a Blue Chip pick is the sound. The difference between the Blue Chip pick and any other pick I've used is the beautiful sound the Blue Chip produces.

So why isn't everyone using a Blue Chip pick? Apparently it's because Blue Chip picks cost $35-50 instead of $1. Really, that's the reason you haven't bought a Blue Chip pick? You bought a $1,000+ guitar instead of a $150 guitar and have never regretted the investment, yet you can't bring yourself to pay $35 for a pick that will make that $1,000 guitar sound significantly better. Get over it!! These picks are truly amazing.

  2. Great pick 5 Star Review

Just as advertised, very slick on the strings and stays put in my fingers. Love it.

    I just ordered 2 more!

  4. I'm glad I bought it! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 13th Mar 2012

There are hardly any reviews submitted about these picks, so I thought I'd try.

I've been playing the guitar for over 50 years - mostly Jazz, but a little bit of everything. This is the best pick I've ever tried. (I've never tried a tortoise shell pick, but I have experimented with a few other fairly expensive picks.) It feels grippy in my fingers but slippery on the strings. It sounds smooth and clear. It's (for me) exactly the right size, shape, thickness, and bevel. It's very precisely made. It's purported to be extremely wear resistant (too soon for me to tell).

But I've got to be honest. I understand that the material used is very expensive, so I'm not complaining, but the pick cost me $39.45 including shipping. My second favorite pick is subjectively 90% as good (to me) in every respect. It's the Dunlop 1.14 amber Ultex Jazz III. They cost about 40 cents each. I have over 50 of them. So I won't be ordering any more BlueChip Jazz 60's. BUT, I WILL be putting them at the top of my holiday gift wish list every year, so I DO hope to acquire a few more ... and then maybe a few more after that!
