The Jazz LG is a pick that is very similar in shape to our original Jazz pick. It is slightly larger than the regular jazz pick. This is a Jazz LG in a 60/1000 of an inch(1.5mm) thickness. All of our picks a professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched. This pick comes with a universal rounded bevel.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

Like most guitarists I’ve tried tons of picks, thick, thin, large, small and from nylon to stone. I decided to try a Blue Chip because of the material used to make the pics. Before I retired I worked for the company that makes the material, and yes it’s not cheap. It’s strong, resists temperatures way higher the you would ever achieve playing guitar no matter how fast you can play. All that aside, as soon as I hit the first note I knew this was it for me. It’s easy to grip and glides across the strings and the strange thing is I really do feel more connected to the instrument.

All thru grad school I searched for a pick that was slick, but had bite when I needed it. A pick that I could grip but didn't need a death grip to keep in the right orientation. A pick that lasted longer than a 3hr gig. Blue Chip hit ALL THOSE MARKS. I love these picks!

I bought this pick to compare it with CT55 and TD60 to play my F5 mandolin.
I find it more precise to play with compared to the others, the tone is clearer and louder. I love it. All 3 are complementary, depending on the style, speed and desired tone and volume.
A must have!
PS. I have my CT55 for more than 8 years now and it is still like new!

I love the sound and feel. Less friction noise crossing the string, and they don’t slip around on me! I like the 60 for electric guitar, the 80 for acoustic.

This pick is great! it was a step up in tone, speed, and feel from the Dunlop Jazztone picks I had been using. I liked it so much that I ordered a different shape one so now I am covered for all sorts of different playing.

I LOVE THIS PICK, I FEEL LIKE IT MAKES MY PICKING MORE ACCURATE. I LOST MY FIRST ONE SO I HAD TO GET A REPLACEMENT.

This is going to sound an awful lot like the other reviews, but they're all true. My wife nearly made me sleep outside for the night when she found out I ordered one pick for $35, but it is worth every fraction of a penny. Every aspect of a pick that you can think of, it beats every other pick at... by a LONG shot. And, it's so versatile that I can use it for *any* style of music. I don't know what their special formula is that they make the picks out of, but it's like magic. It grips like nothing else, yet somehow it is not the least bit sticky. The attack is perfect. It is also beveled to perfection. I can play extremely fast with it, but it's just as at home lightly strumming. It makes playing guitar just so much more enjoyable. If you think that your choice in a pick doesn't make much of a difference in your sound, think again.

Reviewing as a mandolin player. First, in my experience--and I have tried many, many of the best rated picks out there--BlueChip picks are absolutely unparalleled. I don't need to spend much time reiterating what other reviewers have amply noted. These picks bring out the depth of woody tones of the instrument; they also produce a clean and focused sound--bright but not sharp; they glide smoothly but don't slip; they last virtually forever. I have several different kinds of BC picks and have mostly settled on the TAD-1R 60 as my go-to pick for my modern mandos: five stars doesn't capture how highly I esteem that particular pick. However, I wanted to find a BC that would really do justice to my vintage bowlback mandolins (which use lighter strings and project a different kind of tone). I thought I'd try the TD 60, since it has a slightly narrower tip. It didn't end up producing the sound I was looking for. I ended up settling instead on the Large Jazz 60 (which has a much narrower tip)--and that's giving me what I'm looking for--brightness, depth of tone, projection, rich tones. So let me add here another wonderful thing about BlueChip. Their return policy. You can return a pick (non-personalized) within 30 days and get a replacement or a refund. I have twice returned a pick to receive a different pick instead. The service is prompt, no questions asked, really top-notch. I have nothing but praise for this company and its products. I do also use other picks for particular sounds with my vintage bowlbacks--Wolle picks are quite different and are also excellent--for my bowlbacks I play about half the time with a Wolle and half the time with the Large Jazz 60. If premium sound and playability are your goals, these picks are worth every penny.

The pick is simply the best I have ever used. It's expensive but it's worth it. It's a super product and it's quality is fantastic. I'm definitely will order again.
