Product Description

The TP-1R is our classic triangular pick in a 50/1000 of an inch thickness(1.25mm) with ONE ROUNDED CORNER.  All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. I just keep buying more! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Apr 2021

This is my 4th BC, including the one I foolishly lost at a festival. These have my favourite string attack of any pick, and this 50 with one rounded corner is superb for acoustic and electric guitar. I’d previously owned 35s in TD Shape and this 50 is a great step up in volume and also resistance to the strings. I recently received a 55 as a gift and I just love them all. The stiffness of the 50 is ideal, for me. Thanks BC! Great pick! Oh, and if someone found my Monogrammed TD35 at that festival, please make great use of it!

Why play a guitar that cost thousands of dollars with a fifteen cent pick? If you buy one and don’t like it I will make you a offer.

  4. versatile/ multipurpose 5 Star Review

For years I loved the TAD 50 and still do. Having the use of a rounded corner of the TP1R for mandolin gives it versatility.Slightly smaller makes it perfect.

  6. wonderful pick with options! 5 Star Review

This is so far my favorite pick. Like the one rounded edge for tonal variations. I play bluegrass music and bought the TP1R 50. Thickness is perfect for great tone.

I recommend these picks to everyone and have used one myself for the last few years with my mandolin. I just lost my last one and had to order a new one right away.

  8. TP-1R50 5 Star Review

BlueChip picks are great. I ended up deciding to exchange the 50 gauge for a TP-1R 60. BlueChip made the exchange easy. I would still like to have a 50, and I will probably order an STP50. For the TP size, I’m a little more comfortable with the thicker 60. Great quality picks.

  9. The TP50-1R is the best all-round pick for me. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Mar 2019

I've currently have a TP50-1R, TP60-1R, and a CT55. I had a TD50 and even though I've always used teardrop shaped picks in the past, for some reason the material Blue Chip uses and the way it interacts with the string makes me prefer the larger size picks and that preference now allows me greater accuracy when alternate picking without posting. I give all 3 types of picks I have now 5 stars (see those reviews if you're interested) but the TP50-1R is the best all-round pick for acoustic, electric, or arch top. The sound is crystal clear, the feel of it inspires confidence that you will be accurate in your picking and the one rounded corner is a wonderful and useful option. The other two are also pick-heaven for me but if I had to order another one for backup it would be the TP50-1R. Just the greatest pick ever!

  10. GREAT product 5 Star Review

Great sounding and feeling pick. I love shell, but no pick glides off strings like a BC. Expensive! But worth it. I really like the rounded corner as well.
