Product Overview

The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 48/1000 of an inch thickness(1.22mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

    I love these picks

Some people think you're crazy to buy a $35 pick. You actually save money because you hang onto the pic.k. Try one.

color of the fall New York leaves

Posted by Chris Bianco on 25th Sep 2025

Great pick worth the money but it is the color of fall leaves in New York. That became a problem when it flipped out of my fingers in the yard and fell into the leave filled grass. Panic set in. Would the gardener suck it up into the lawn mower? Had to find the rake and rake up 10 square feet of leaves and sift through them by hand till I found the coveted pick . Joy set in.

    This pick made me better

Posted by Unknown on 16th Sep 2025

This pick actually made me a better player. I’m more accurate and a little faster. No BS. I wouldn’t have thought a pick alone could do that. I got interested in Blue Chip picks because of the tone advantage so I wasn’t expecting it to boost my flat picking. A pleasant surprise. I’m sold.

I know, it's a pick, but not just any pick. It's a great pick! (Seriously)

    Blue chip tp 48

Great pick for my acoustic guitars. Highly recommended . Once you give the blue chip pick a few hours of playing time you don’t want to quit playing . I have been using these for 3 years and find the tone better and even and they really stick to the fingers. 5 stars for blue chip ?

Cheapest way to buy a new guitar

I know, sounds corny but it's amazing what a difference a Blue Chip pick makes. Like having a fantastic bow for a violin. The TP 48 is the perfect combination of size and thickness and heft. Really brings out the sparkle and definition of my guitar. And as a side note, the TPR 50 - rounded corners - is my absolute favorite pick on mandolin, the way it floats, the warmth of the sound. I've tried other high end picks but always come back to Blue chip.

    The gold standard

Posted by Phil on 14th Aug 2025

Every pick has a sound, and they all have a place with whatever you’re trying to express. But as far as a tool that gives me control over speed, dynamics, and overall residence extraction from my Guitar, this pick really is it. The economics of it just feel so intuitive, and it’s kind of just become a part of my instrument.
