Product Overview

The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 48/1000 of an inch thickness(1.22mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

Cheapest way to buy a new guitar

Posted by Bill chamberlain on 3rd Sep 2025

I know, sounds corny but it's amazing what a difference a Blue Chip pick makes. Like having a fantastic bow for a violin. The TP 48 is the perfect combination of size and thickness and heft. Really brings out the sparkle and definition of my guitar. And as a side note, the TPR 50 - rounded corners - is my absolute favorite pick on mandolin, the way it floats, the warmth of the sound. I've tried other high end picks but always come back to Blue chip.

    The gold standard

Posted by Phil on 14th Aug 2025

Every pick has a sound, and they all have a place with whatever you’re trying to express. But as far as a tool that gives me control over speed, dynamics, and overall residence extraction from my Guitar, this pick really is it. The economics of it just feel so intuitive, and it’s kind of just become a part of my instrument.

    Worth every penny!

I know I was a good bit skeptical at first, but after being able to actually use this pick I saw right away what all the fuss is all about. I love the tone, the feel, and how it seems to make my picking hand more accurate

Makes My Martin HD-28V Sing Like A Bird

Posted by Dave on 30th Jul 2025

This is my second review. I lost my first TP-48 the second day after I bought it. I had some spare change in my pocket and put it into a charity donation pot. I forgot that my pick was in my pocket too. So I hope it went to someone who appreciated it. I've since bought 3 more and intend to give 2 away as gifts. I like this pick so much that I've thrown away all my other picks. This pick really makes my Martin HD-28V sing like a bird. Especially for Neal Young tunes, David Bowie's Space Oddity, plus Zeppelin's Over The Hill And Far Away.

    do it

I waited for a couple years to buy this pick. The price point is justified. Wish I bought one sooner. It’s a thick heavy pick that plays fast. I prefer the tone over a more flexible pick.
