The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 48/1000 of an inch thickness(1.22mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

Already have CT55 which I love. Tone of the TP48 is brighter & it's obviously a smaller pick. Despite being smaller it's still extremely stable in the hand. I never feel like I'm going to drop either pick & they don't move about like every other pick I've tried. I like this one for ballads where I'm emphasising notes & bending them eg Muddy Water a la Seldom Scene.

I purchased the TP48 with the beveled edge. Although I do enjoy bluegrass flatpicking, I also use my guitar for singer-songwriter open mike nights where I am primarily strumming while I sing. The TP48 also works great for this function. Although it is rigid enough to execute a fast run of notes, it never makes strummed chord sound harsh or brittle. Everything sounds warm and full. The pick feels like an extension of me.

I have had many bluechips of the years but I think the TP48 is the best. It’s the perfect size and produces a great tone. Bluechip is an amazing company and I love their products so much!

I don't know how these picks are made or what makes them different but whatever it is makes them the best picks I've ever used. I have not been able to replicate the tone with any other pick.

I love this pick. It is so easy and smooth on the strings with no rattle or click sound. I have arthritis in my thumb from hours of playing and this hardly bothers the joint.

I was so excited to try a Blue Chip pick for the first time since I had heard such great things about them, and when I did, it was even better than I'd imagined! I had to get one right away! The TP48 is simply incredible: solid, yet you don't hear the sound of your pick when you play. I can play faster, better, and louder with this pick. I'll never go back to any other pick! If you play bluegrass guitar, this pick WILL transform your playing!

I ordered a TP48 for my Martin D28 1968 Brazilian Rosewood acoustic guitar after finding out that it is the pick Bryan Sutton currently uses. I knew if he likes it, you can't go wrong! And I was right! This pick is AMAZING. Can't choose the right BlueChip pick? Get the TP48. It's sturdy, strong, and yet not rigid in your hands. I've never gotten a brighter, stronger, more powerful sound from my guitar. What a great purchase!

I was using a dead turtle until this thing came along. There was a decidedly brighter and louder tone with this pick. I also bought a TD60 which is darker than this one but brighter than the tortoise. They both feel and sound great. Now to make sure I don't lose it!

I confess I ordered this TP48 pick because Billy Strings uses it and he is blazing fast and accurate. He adopted it because Bryan Sutton uses it for his bluegrass picking. My skills don't approach theirs, but it does make me play better. Positive grip and smooth slide across the strings. Delivers a clear sound. It works. I have a TD40 I bought previously and I still like it, too, for a smaller shape and sharper sound. The price made me think twice, but I've forgotten about that already.

Just a super pick for a mandolin--clear, sensitive, concise.
