  1. Finding an alternative is not really an option anymore... 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Oct 2019

After all those $$$ spent on variety of guitar picks, I may have just found the one. The tone is deep, articulate, and packs so much clarity; the quality is superior to any material that I've tried. After weeks of intense practicing & playing sessions, I have yet to notice any wear on my TD80. The tone is equally good as it was on the first day, unbelievable!

On top of that, the quality of service from Allen & Co. has far surpassed my expectations. They have over-delivered in my case, and have earned my brand loyalty. Thank you to the BC Team!

  2. Best pick so far 5 Star Review

I already own a jazz 100 and I find that one glides a bit easier over the strings but it is much harder to control since it's small dimensions. However, they both produce different tones and in my personal opinion, this is one of, if not the most versatile pick you can get for both strumming and picking.

  3. TD80 2.0mm great option! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 7th Jun 2019

I got this with the TD100 to discover what the best feel is for my alternate picking. I have 5 Blue Chip Picks now, mostly from 1.0-1.5mm and they feel great. I've been testing all these picks hours and hours and they ALL feel so good that it's difficult to settle with just one. I notice for digging deep for a blues tone, the TD100 makes it easier and smooth. I imagine John Petrucci hasn't yet found out about these picks!

  4. I like the construction of the chip, but... 5 Star Review

I should not have ordered the TD80, I should have ordered the the TD40. The TD80 feels just a little to stiff to me and it seems to take some of the ring out of the strings when I use. If I could exchange them for TD40's I would.

  5. Doesn't get any better than this 5 Star Review

third TD80 I have purchased- one for my guitar, one for each mandolin. They last forever, and barely show any wear, even after 2 years of extremely aggressive playing every day. Highly recommended to all tone connoisseurs.

This pick has the backbone need to be heard around the mighty Banjo players.

  7. Unbelievable, but TRUE! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 9th Apr 2018

I've been playing guitar for 40 years. Tried many picks. I'm a devout fan of the Adamas 2mm graphite pick. So, when I learned that Blue Chip made something kind of similar but cost 35 times more!, I was both incredulous and curious. I decided to take a chance. WOW! Not only does it glide off the string with ease but the warm tonal quality of the note is rich and clean. Worth $50? I'd have to say YES! But to protect your investment, I recommend keeping it in some sort of pick case. I use a cheap little leather one that had a keyring on it.

On a recommendation, I purchased the TD 80 and am very happy with the quality & smoothness of the pick.

  10. better than the real thing 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Sep 2017

I've been searching for the perfect pick for 35 years. I finally settled on a 1940's era pick I inherited that was made from real tortoise shell. Not a product you can, or should, ever buy.

Blue Chip picks deliver all three things I look for in a pick:
    1) Pure sound--bright, and without any "pick noise".
    2) Speed. Most plastic picks rub against the string and slow you down. Not Blue Chip picks. They just
    3) Volume. Blue chip picks are rigid and sturdy enough to deliver a good 20% more volume than the even a natural tortoise shell pick can deliver.

Finally, an amazing and sustainabily sourced pick that can deliver the best tone, speed, and volume of any pick available--hands down,
