I was really enjoying the smooth strokes and ease it moved off of the string.
Others bragged and I was skeptical. But the 45 delivered.
Unfortunately my lifelong habit of putting my pick between my teeth as I moved through the songbook or adjust a capo ended in the firm pick breaking in half on day-nite one!
Maybe I'm the wrong type of picker fir such an expensive pick.
Lifetime of this habit has generally left me with a bunch us teeth marked but usable picks.
First day and first clinch....crack.. split my $35 pick in two.

I switched to Blue Chip picks about 10 years ago and I am hooked. I did switch recently from the TD50 to the TD45 as I went down a string gauge. I've had one for over 5 years and I can't see any noticeable wear on it. If you take your signal chain, and your pick attack seriously, do yourself a favor and give one of these a try. They make the Fender heavys, and extra heavys I had used for years seem like toys.

I love my new Blue Chip pick, it is the best pick I have ever used. It becomes and extension of your hand and you forget that you are using it.

really a magical experience. I can only recommend it, if you have children - hide well.

This pick is definitely the only one I use nowadays.
I've tried many different ones (various shapes, thicknesses, ...) but ended using only this one. It's the one who suits me best and it shows no traces of wear after two yeasr os daily use.
However I aslo bought a BCT-JDL thumbpick and the brown plastic part suddenly broke in two pieces while I was playing the banjo. I had never dropped it and always used it the way it was meant to be used... So I wouldn't be so enthusiastic about that one.

Can't go wrong with these picks. This is my 4th one - I treat myself to a new BC pick at Christmas time. The oldest one still works great even though it's worn well for 4 years. I keep them in the leather pick pouch attached to my key ring. I always have them.

I was most skeptical of this pick but after reading others reviews I decided to give it a shot. When it arrived it took only about 15 minutes to realize this was no placebo effect. This pick is incredible!!! The first thing I noticed was how smooth and effortless my licks had become. Flatpicking was a breeze and playing old fiddle tunes was a joy. This pick just rolls over the strings so smoothly while creating no pick noise whatsoever. The tone was just right and brought out the beautiful sound of my guitar. My favorite thing about this pick is how it does not shift or move around while playing which is alone, well worth the money. Everywhere I go and at each of my shows, I share this pick with other players and let them see for themselves. Anyone who I let use this pick instantly notices why it stands above the rest. It won’t turn you into the next Tommy Emmanuel but you will experience a very noticeable confidence and precision to your playing. This review is my experience with the TD45. I will be using this pick for many years and can’t wait to put in an order for more! It’s not just hype, Blue Chip Picks are the real deal you’ve been waiting for!

There is something different about these picks.
Love mine. Also, compared my three year old TD45 with my new one... almost no wear.
