  1. Dont buy these unless... 5 Star Review

You want to sound better? Pick faster? Changed things for me.
    One drawback, “where’s my pick”.

  2. Fantastic clarity and great feel! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 22nd Apr 2021

I bought this after numerous recommendations and I'm extremely happy with this pick. I was blown away on the tone and noticed a big improvement on both acoustic and electric. I was actually floored at just how good my Martin sounded! I hadn't changed the strings in a while so they were pretty dull and they sounded so crisp again while using this pick. The speed bevel is definitely a must. This pick just glides across the strings so easy. Every note is clear and chords sound great. I've been using it on electric guitar as well and I've had the same experience. I play everything from blues to metal and this pick works for everything. I've also noticed an improvement in my accuracy too, possibly due to the bevel. And the grip is absolutely perfect! It does not budge, even if your hands are sweaty. Definitely worth a try. It's got all the crispness of celluloid and the grip of Tortex. It feels like the Fender Extra Heavy celluloid in terms of stiffness. I'm also a heavy handed player so I chew through picks and I've had this a few weeks now and there's no sign of wear. Great pick! I will definitely try another!

  3. None better 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Dec 2020

This is my favorite pick period. I treat myself to one/year and they last longer than that so I have a nice little pile now. I like it so much that I gave this as a gift to a few close friends. I grew up using fender picks (back when you could buy 3 for a quarter and dozen for a dollar). Stuck with fender for eons. Eventually ventured out and you name the pick, I've tried it. Then several years ago, I heard about bluechip but thought "oh come on now, $35 for a pick", come on now. Well if you lose picks and are on a tight budget, don't bother. But if you can hang on and can justify the $, well then here ya go. I'm a fan.

  4. perspective on a $35 pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Nov 2020

Initially it was hard to justify the cost
When you can buy picks any day for $1.50
But this thing is the real deal it improves tone
And speed, reduces pick noise and I believe, because of these improvements even accuracy is improved.
$35..... you can spend that much on burgers and fries and not bat an eye.
    Better picking..... priceless

  5. Didn't make it first night 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Sep 2020

I was really enjoying the smooth strokes and ease it moved off of the string.

Others bragged and I was skeptical. But the 45 delivered.

Unfortunately my lifelong habit of putting my pick between my teeth as I moved through the songbook or adjust a capo ended in the firm pick breaking in half on day-nite one!

Maybe I'm the wrong type of picker fir such an expensive pick.

Lifetime of this habit has generally left me with a bunch us teeth marked but usable picks.

First day and first clinch....crack.. split my $35 pick in two.

  6. Can't Use Anything Else 5 Star Review

Posted by on 8th Sep 2020

I switched to Blue Chip picks about 10 years ago and I am hooked. I did switch recently from the TD50 to the TD45 as I went down a string gauge. I've had one for over 5 years and I can't see any noticeable wear on it. If you take your signal chain, and your pick attack seriously, do yourself a favor and give one of these a try. They make the Fender heavys, and extra heavys I had used for years seem like toys.

  7. Great Pick 5 Star Review

I love my new Blue Chip pick, it is the best pick I have ever used. It becomes and extension of your hand and you forget that you are using it.

really a magical experience. I can only recommend it, if you have children - hide well.

  9. My favourite pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 8th Jan 2020

This pick is definitely the only one I use nowadays.
I've tried many different ones (various shapes, thicknesses, ...) but ended using only this one. It's the one who suits me best and it shows no traces of wear after two yeasr os daily use.

However I aslo bought a BCT-JDL thumbpick and the brown plastic part suddenly broke in two pieces while I was playing the banjo. I had never dropped it and always used it the way it was meant to be used... So I wouldn't be so enthusiastic about that one.
