This is the TAD-1R pick in 40/1000th of an inch(1.0mm) thickness. It is identical to the TAD, but HAS ONE ROUNDED CORNER. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

I am so happy with these picks. I use the flat pick for bluegrass and folk, old time and the JD thumb pick for fingerstyle old blues.
I used to have picks fly off all the time. Not anymore.
They last forever.
Like my good musical buddy said, you spend 2-4K on an instrument what is a $35 pick? The sound is better, and the texture of the pick is so perfect, it grabs the string in just the right way, makes me a better player.
Thanks Blue Chip!

I switched frpm Fender Triangle Picks medium to Blue Chip Picks for better durability and they really last. I used to go through 2 picks per gig on my accoustic. Now i just have one for many gigs in the past and a lot to come :)
I use the thinner Version TAD 35-1R mainly, have a few others though, but that is my favourite, since it is closest to the size of the Fender pick, but better overall.
My only wish would be to maybe have one pick slightly even thinner, like a TAD 30 for so or some strumming sounds on recordings, since i work in studios as well and sometimes it is nice to have this really light sound, overall great pick, won't go back again .)

One rounded edge is great to have for a bit of a softer tone or while playing backup chords on guitar. The more pointy ends offer a bit more clarity when needed. I really like this thickness while playing alone.

I am still using my same TPR-40 pick two years after buying it. It is used for a lot of fingerstyle, like TOmmy Emmanuel, and plenty of chord strumming, and the tips still look wonderful.
It is quite a large pick, and it took some adjusting when I first got, but now I love it.

The rounded edge is excellent for playing fast chords. Pick has the most "attack" and brightness of the model 40-50-60 series. Normal edges are great for leads. I've been playing this pick for over a year, every day, and it's still in the same condition as when I bought it. Has long since paid for itself, and is more economical in the long run.
