5 Like No Other Pick
Posted by David Welsh on 23rd Sep 2025
I was never spending $35 for a guitar pick, c’mon… I had tried everything clown barf, celluloid, nylon, wood, bone, horn, stone even the coveted tortoiseshell… NOTHING COMPARES TO BLUE CHIP! I now have five different picks and each one sounds different. The picks are an instrument in themselves. The only way to describe them is if you have ever used a sound hole cover to stop feedback on an acoustic guitar that has a pickup. That muffled sound you hear when you are playing it unplugged and then the sound when you take the cover out… that’s the difference Blue Chip picks make. That’s only the beginning. The pick is made of a material that glides off the string. They bevel the pick which helps you pick quicker and I can’t believe the durability. I am a bluegrass player and I practice several hours each day… I can’t wear this pick down. The tone… I don’t know how to describe it, each pick is different. Mellow, articulate, soft, hard, everything in between. Virtually NO PICK SOUND… you know, the clickety click like a tap dancer… that’s gone! Look, you are just gonna have to buy one. $35 is less than going out to lunch these days, and you won’t have any heartburn afterward. But be warned, I’ve bought 5 of ‘em and I just love the sound so much I’m gonna keep trying different picks. Blue Chip is saving me thousands of dollars! Everytime I want a new guitar, I just buy another Blue Chip!!!! lol - but it’s true….

5 SR 60 and LG 50 Review
Posted by David on 10th Aug 2025
I purchased the Blue Chip SR60 and have been using it for the past two weeks. I like it. I also use the LG 50. Both excellent. Value is perceived. But this review is more about the company and people. When I ordered the SR60 I waited. After two weeks, I called to inquire about my order. An article had been written in the WSJ about Blue Chip Picks, and they were inundated with orders. The customer service person who answered my call was so nice. She told me that she would personally ensure my order would be processed soon. Within two hours of our conversation, I received an email that my order had been processed and shipped. Thank you so much. I am grateful for the fine picks and for a company that handles minor snafus with grace and dignity. I am a fan. Again, value is perceived. Is $35 (or more)/pick worth it? I can't answer that for anyone else. For me, yes.

5 Great Mondolin pic!
Posted by Kevin on 3rd Jul 2025
I really like this pic, it stays put in between your fingers even with a light grip such as tremolo! This pick gives good tone and clarity with a roundness to all my notes!

Got this pick for playing both mandolin and guitar. The pick is amazing. Gives great tone out of the strings. Very happy I purchased it.

5 Grip 'n Glide - What a combo!
Posted by Kyle C Bajakian on 1st Sep 2024
I don't care much for picks that like to weasel their way out of my fingers, nor those with sandpaper texture. Enter Blue Chip Picks. They are both grippy yet slide easily off the strings. Amazingly expressive! I've always preferred the TD style of pick, but have been enjoying playing with a SR60 recently. You have to make a minor adjustment in hand position but the result is a softer, more buttery (jazzy) feel and sound. Definitely worth checking out!

5 Best picks i have ever used!
Posted by Dan Brodfuehrer on 3rd Aug 2024
I love these picks, they are comfortable to hold. They sound incredible, bright and articulate. The stiffness is perfect, stiff enough to dig in but have a little flex. This allows for a great amount of touch sensitivity. I love the rounded edge. Gives a bit of softer tone. I highly recommend these picks. Also the customer service is top notch. My first order was lost during shipping. Blue chip picks sent out another order free of charge which no questions asked! Great company with a great product!!

5 Playing Gypsy Jazz with a 60
Posted by Dan Wright on 2nd Feb 2024
I love this pick. I hope I don't loose it. But if I do, I'm sure I'll buy another one. The tone and the attack are so clean sounding. I wouldn't have believed a pick can make such a difference, but it does. Glad I bought one. A friend shared his with me for a few weeks to try out. I bought mine within two days of playing withe the one he lent me.

5 Ten more years
Posted by Jeff Jones on 6th Jun 2023
I purchased the pick as a backup to the one I have been using for about ten years! Nothing wrong with the old pick after all that time, it was just in case. However, the new SR60 is faster and cleaner.
