  1. There good, but... 4 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Mar 2018

Every time I order picks, I always look at these. Finally decided to give them a shot. I like them, I feel like they really allow me to get some volume with out having to play so hard. But I’ve gotten so used to the split band picks, these are still a little uncomfortable for me. They feel rough on the inside of the band so I may eventually take a file to them or try the plasti dip trick.

  2. How can you better National fingerpicks? 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Nov 2017

Answer: Sammy Shelor fingerpicks. Thin light comfortable and damn good looking too! I WAS playing Nationals. Let me say they are nice and worked for me. BUT...the Sammy Shelors have taken it to a new level of fingerpicks. These compliment the 1 and JD thumbpick models wonderfully! Treat yourself to these fingerpicks!

  3. No more clicking, smooth picking 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Oct 2017

I have been working really hard on my reso to reduce clicking with my finger picks, tried a lot of different kinds, practiced hour after hour. But with these Shelor picks, the clicking just went away. These are great finger picks, really smooth on the strings with a great full sound. Highly recommend these - they have greatly helped my playing.

  4. They are great, except for the damn hole in one of them! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Apr 2017

They are great picks and have a meaty quality to them. One of them will come with a hole in the picking face and this is really annoying: I feel the string through the hole and it adds a little discomfort to the mix. There is no reason for the hole: I would see if he would sell two picks without holes. Put the hole in a place where the string never touches it.

  5. Finger Picks with a Beer Belly 5 Star Review

Posted by on 22nd Jan 2017

I rate the Shelor Bluechip Finger Picks to be the best finger Picks I have ever used , and there is no other for me. They are comfortable to fit. and with a simple lick of the Finger top they stay put against all odds . The Nice Beer Belly they have Helps the Pick to never Hook or Snag a string while playing and concave to give a clear powerful tone with greatly reduced side noise. I always use 2 of these Finger Picks with a Bluechip JD-1 L Thumbpick for the perfect combination . Try these fine Finger Picks , You can't ever go wrong with them .

  7. Sammy Shelor Banjo Picks 5 Star Review

These picks are excellent. They keep finger form perfectly when set and are very substantial. I feel that they have also improved the sound of the instrument.

  8. Amazing Fingerpicks!! 5 Star Review

These fingerpicks are the absolute best!!! I get incredible tone out of my banjo with them! Little to no pick noise and very comfortable! I love these picks and would recommend these to anyone!

  9. big difference 5 Star Review

Posted by on 5th Mar 2016

Makes a clean non metallic sound, and finds the strings easier than my old nationals. So glad I purchased them. Now my finger picking on the HD28 can get a little closer to being heard with that pesky banjo.

  10. good, but... 4 Star Review

Posted by on 5th Mar 2016

My first was an STP 50, and I thot I'd gry a 45, so I got a TD 45. Those 5 thousandths make a good difference for me in ease, but somehow it's harder to hold the point in position. Somehow the TD doesn't wander so much- is it the broader triangular shape? Unfortunately, the TD does not come in a 45...
