Product Description

This version of the TPR was custom created for Doyle Lawson. We worked with him to create pick to his exact needs. This is the exact pick that Doyle Lawson is currently using. This TPR is our classic TP pick with corners that are slightly round in a 45/1000th of an inch(1.12mm) thickness.  Our picks are all precision machined and hand beveled for the highest quality.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. Best pick-Ever! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Dec 2012

I've been playing guitar and mandolin professionally for over 50 years and have played with more picks than I want to admit to---My search is over. The Blue Chip pick is like coming home to a warm house--The sound is warm,it hugs my fingers, tickles my strings and brings a smile to my face.I'm proud to be a part of the Blue Chip family.

I love this pick. The weight and thickness make it warm and smooth; it's still flexible enough to be comfortable and accurate at high speed. Durability is phenomenal.

  3. Great pick with in-between thickness. 5 Star Review

Over the past years I have been using several Blue Chip picks. Some are best for certain styles and instruments. This TPR 45 is a great thickness and fits my playing better than a 40 or a 50. I'd like to see more styles in this 45 thickness. It's smooth, fast, quiet on the strings and sweet sounding. Well worth the price of admission.

  4. Clean and sweet 5 Star Review

I've been using the BlueChip - TPR and JD Crowe thumb pick - for a couple years now. Great picks. They don't hang with age and what a tone. Just got another TPR after unfortunately losing the one I had. The Crowe thumb pick has seen a lot of use on stainless banjo strings and is virtually still as good as new. So what if you can buy the good plastic ones for a buck or so. Get a BlueChip and you'll hear and feel the difference immediately.
