The TPR is our classic TP pick with corners that are slightly round in a 40/1000th of an inch(1.0mm) thickness. Our picks are all precision machined and hand beveled for the highest quality.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

After trying out the Blue Chip TPR 40 guitar pick at the IBMA Convention in Raleigh this past year , I fell in love with them. I have used many different picks in the past, but the TPR 40 is by far the best. It is very forgiving and has a great feel on the strings.

I only use your picks and feel that they are the best you can buy. I have been playing bluegrass since 1969 and your picks are the best I have ever used. I would recommend your picks to anyone in the music business, keep up the great products. And Thank You

I own a few TPR 40 picks (cause I'm worried I might lose one) and splurged this time around and got my initials put on this latest pick. The TPR 40 is the perfect pick for me. I flat pick and I just don't ever have to worry about hanging on to my pick, which would cause tension, when I play. The TPR 40 also gives me the tone I'm after. Thanks Blue Chip! I think its time to order another.........just in case.

Best pics I've used and TPR 40 does bring out the best tone with the most comfortable feel. Just don't lose any.

This is my fifth BC pick, joining a TD40, TP40, TAD1R-40 and TAD1R-50. I love all these picks. They are virtually silent. they are grippy (never drop them). They produce a beautiful tone, much better than most other picks I've used in the past. I use these for my acoustic guitars, but I will be trying them during an electric gig this weekend.

I started playing bluegrass in 1969 so I have used many different brands and types of picks in my lifetime, and by far this is the best feeling and sounding pick I have ever used. I have tried several different BlueChip picks but I keep coming back to the TPR40. It help bring out the quality sound of my old Martin that I like to hear, and feels great when I flat pick or play rythm.
As the President and CEO of the Southeastern Bluegrass Association and a full time player in my group Dan Daniel & Georgia Grass, I would recommend to all players that they should give BlueChip pics a try. Hats off to the folks at BlueChip for a fine product.

Same as all Blue Chip picks - they are the best, but I needed something not on their menu. A light weigh "TPR35". I emailed about the possibility, got an instant response and it was shipped the next morning! As good as it gets...
BTW, I have always lived by the rule, "Never pay more than a dollar for a pick". Oh, well. Now I have 4 Blue Chips.

I was recommended to try the TPR40 which I asked for a 35 thickness instead for my new oval Girouard mandolin. This I did and what a fantastic pick. Much easier to pick through all the triplets and love the tone produced with my oval. I still prefer a thicker BC pick ( of which I have many) for my F5 mandolin for Bluegrass tunes however. I have bought many BC picks over the years and tried all the other brands of picks but always come back to the BC pick as my pick of choice !

I have several of these picks ranging from 35 to 50, because I was not quite sure of the style of thickness based on Blue Chip standards. Before using Blue Chip, I used a heavy guage fender plastic tear drop. I play it sideways using one of the rounded corners. A Blue Chip "35" is comparable regarding feel. I also ordered a TPR "40", but asked for a "35" thickness in that shape and they were more than happy to accommodate. The feel of this pick is quite fluid....it just seems that there is no resistance at all. I'm able to play my mistakes at blazing speeds now.....LOL...enjoy...great product.
