  1. Excellent pick 5 Star Review

I am able to get a clear and punchy sound from my mandolin with this pick. The notes come out well defined and the pick glides over the strings. I bought two of these!

  2. Perfect Pick TD60 5 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Jun 2023

After 50 years of playing with heavier picks I decided to spend money and go with BLue Chip TD60 equal to about a 1.5 mm Tortex. Werther electric or acoustic flatpicking it has propelled my playing as told by others. Now Im all in for Blue Chip and never lose sight where it is so I wont misplace it. haven't worn it out yet and I can pick crazy hard.

  4. Best Pick available 5 Star Review

I have tried almost all picks in my 60+ year of playing guitar, and I have found no better pick for acoustic and electric guitars.

  5. Great pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Apr 2023

I like the feel, sound, and the grip works well for me. It doesn't wear out so the edges are consistent and the pick doesn't get smaller. I have only lost one in about 7 years and I can live with that. Too bad they aren't red, lol.

  6. definitely worth it 5 Star Review

Posted by on 20th Feb 2023

I put off buying a blue chip for years, going with gravity gold and red bear, which became my favorite. I tried a few other expensive picks to see if it could match my red bear but nothing did. I finally decided to just do it, why not mentality since I already wasted money avoiding it. Super glad I did. It’s as good if not preferred over my red bear. I’m not great with descriptors but it’s just great all around tone. Not too warm, not dark, not super bright or snappy but not dull. It’s just a perfect sounding pick. Very comfortable to hold, doesn’t slip, and from what everyone else has said after years of playing their BCs, it sounds like it’s dang near indistructible. My red bear medium broke in 4 different pieces when I handed it to a friend to check out. The heavy is still going strong but that put me off and now I think I’ll move over to blue chip for good.

  7. For me, the best B.C. pick with my D18 is the TD60 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Feb 2023

I ordered and tried every B.C. pick shape in the TD, TP, and TAD range. This TD60 was the best of them all with my D18. Of all the picks I tried, the TD60 just has something above them all tone and feel-wise. No complaints at all, ordered a second TD60 for a spare and I am very happy. People gripe about the cost, but seriously...how much have we all dropped on trying new strings only to pull them off right away and do the same with three or four more sets to find the right strings, how many dozens of picks do we all have in that little container by our guitars? Come on...you know you do. With the extremely slow wear (years) on these picks, if it stops me from buying picks for a year or two, I am ahead of the game. Well worth the expense.

  8. Very Durable 5 Star Review

Posted by on 17th Nov 2022

For the past 20+ years, I have been using a PRO PLEC 1.5mm standard shape guitar pick. This pick is similar in feel, but is more durable and has a brighter sound. It will probably be my new go-to pick.

  9. smooth pick sounds great 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Oct 2022

I had been using a custom elongated teardrop shaped pick that was great for fast string picking, but it was wearing out (casein). I couldn't find anything to directly replace it so I tried the 1.5 mm teardrop pick from Blue Chip and have been very happy with how smooth and fast it is sliding off the strings. Sounds great!

  10. Went a little thicker... Don't regret it a bit. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 20th Oct 2022

I play a few styles and both acoustic and electric. I played a TD45 and it was great for just about anything but when it came to flat picking, I decided to bump it up to a TD60. I was a little concerned that going with a thicker pick would muddy up the attack of the pick too much. That has been my past experience. With the TD60 though I noticed a big jump in speed and more accurate timing but only a small amount of drop off in pick attack. The 60 fits in just the right spot for me regarding flat picking. Slick and very pleasant.
