  1. blue chip picks are the best 5 Star Review

Do yourself a favor. Buy 10 picks at a time. Its the price of a fx pedal. You will sound better and get more use out of them compared to another pedal.

This is hands down one of the best picks Ive ever used. They are pricey and i don't think ill ever have more than two of them but man they roll off the strings wonderfully.

  6. expensive, but worth it! 5 Star Review

No denying many folks wont be excited about spending $35 for a single pic, but I got over it real quick after I played for half anhour with NO slippage. I would recommend the TD40 for anyone who likes a standard shape heavy pick.

  7. Tired and I'm Hooked! Would not have thought... 5 Star Review

If you told me I was going to play faster and better because of a freakin' pick two years ago, I would've smacked you in the mouth. I've been searching for a pick that works for all 25 years of my music career, and I've found it. It's like when you get that guitar that just fits you, and you never look back. That's BlueChip picks for me. Keep workin' your mojo guys!

  8. I’ll Review if I ever get the pick I actually ordered. 3 Star Review

Ordered a TD-60 AND THEY SENT A TD-40??? I figured for a $35 pick they could at least send the one I ordered....not happy.

  9. So close to perfect for me.... 4 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Mar 2020

Let me preface by saying that I believe this pick is worth the price and that I intend to purchase more of them. I’m also using it on electric guitar exclusively, so bear that in mind if you are reading this review in order to decide whether you want to make the investment.

First off, my one-star deduction is based solely on grip. Many others have stated that their BC pick “disappears” into their hands. While I occasionally have this experience, I also have times where I feel I’m “chasing” the pick while playing. I am certain that this is simply a result of my own body chemistry, so I don’t doubt that others have not had any issues with this, as they’ve said. Also, I use a lot of different angles and grips which I’m sure is a contributing factor for me. That being said, as long as I wash my hands in warm water to soften them slightly and dry them well, I have better luck.

On the plus side, this thing has not worn much if at all in the few weeks that I’ve owned it, and for me that’s REALLY saying something. I play hard, fast, and constantly when I’m practicing, which is often 3-5 hours per day. I am truly dumbfounded at the durability of this material. For reference, I generally go through TWO celluloid picks on a 90 minute show. Primetone picks usually last me 3-4 shows before I need a fresh one, with no practicing with those in between. The BC has been my only practice AND show pick since I’ve had it, and it feels the same as the day I received it, despite pick slides and literally millions of notes played with it. Once again, this is on electric guitar with .009’s, but nonetheless....

The pick does really glide off of the strings very well, while simultaneously producing a “positive contact” full-sounding note, with much less unwanted scratchy string noise than my similar Primetone picks.

Despite being a professional working guitarist on a tight budget, I let my quest for the perfect plectrum and burning curiosity drive me to the purchase of my TD40, and I can honestly say that there is no hype here. I am by nature a notoriously practical person, and for me every piece of gear I use is function-over-form. This TD40 fits the bill IMO, now to just avoid losing it!

  10. Surprised About Being Amazed! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Feb 2020

I've used a lot of picks over the years and was quite skeptical, considering the price of this Bluechip pick. However, I hear they'll last a long time (as long as you don't lose it). As long as they do, I love it. The material is what is so special, both from a grip standpoint, as well as a tone standpoint. Thank you for this amazing product!
