    Everything You've Heard is True.

Posted by Aaron Nickell on 30th Jul 2023

The TD40 is the best pick I've ever used, and I've tried many: acetate, acrylic, bone, casein, celluloid, Tortex, and Ultex, just to name a few, The TD40's tone is warm and reminiscent of a vintage Fender heavy celluloid without the undue string noise. String attack is firm, quick, and loud, while the pick glides through strings effortlessly. Vespel's density and rigidity make it easy to adjust dynamics without having to "dig in." Note separation and clarity are unparalleled. The beveled edge allows for lightning-fast runs. Notably -despite Vespel's intrinsic self-lubricating qualities - the TD40 does not slip at ALL during play. The position I hold the pick in when I start a song is where it is when I finish. I couldn't be happier with BlueChip's service and delivery. At $35, a TD pick is a small price to pay for the ultimate in tone and function. Purchase without hesitation.

Excellent one of a kind picks

The blue Chip pic is absolutely unique. Whatever the material is it feels slightly tacky after you been playing for a while and does not slip or slide around in your fingers. The edges and the pink itself are beautifully machined. The pic actually slides off the strings faster than a normal pic so when you’re playing extra fast, licks and actually improves your speed compared to using other picks. I highly recommend this product.

    Simply the best

Blue Chip picks are comfortable to hold. Somehow they almost stick to your fingers so you don’t drop them or have them slide around while you’re playing. You can actually play licks faster with these guitar picks. There’s something about the material that makes them slide off the strings faster. They are worth every penny. I would recommend them to any serious guitarist who wants to improve their playing.

    the pick of picks

Finally caved in and ordered one. The talked about stickiness of the picks was what had me so curious. It completely exceeded all expectations, in feel and tone. No pick chirp. Only thing now is I haven’t been brave enough for it to leave the house with me. Once I order another, I think one will quickly become a permanent fixture in my front right pocket.

A Premium Pick Worth Its Price

I prefer a stiffer pick in the 1mm thickness range. Feel on the strings is important to me. Other picks I like include heavy Delron picks, like the Dunlop Tortex, and casein picks, like the Fender Tru-Shell. I don't like Nylon or polyester picks. Casein picks feel great on the strings, but they tend to wear quickly. BlueChip picks feel just as good as casein (maybe they have some in them, I don't know), but they are much more durable. I ordered picks with a rounded bevel, and the finish on the edges is excellent. There is not much more to say. They feel good in hand. They don't slip. They feel great against the strings (I play steel, either 9s or 10s). I like that they can be engraved. The TD shape is classic and exactly the same size as the others mentioned above. I will buy more.

    Perfect pic

Posted by Unknown on 10th Mar 2023

It took some time and a bit of an investment but I have Blue Chip Pics down now. I tried a number of thicknesses and sizes. Like I said, a bit of an investment, but with each different size and shape I learned which I like to use depending on the instrument I'm playing. It was a fun, interesting, rewarding learning experience and I feel very comfortable now knowing the different materials of different manufacturers and the sizes and shapes. Blue Chip is my go to, best choice for all instruments and playing styles! Rock on Blue Chip!

I was skeptical about spending so much on a pick but it really does stand out based on the tone you get from them. Already looking at getting another one.
