  1. The best pick I've ever used. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 17th Mar 2014

I said it all in the heading; this is simply the best guitar pick I've ever used. The tone reminds me of the tortoise shell picks that were available when I started playin (45 years ago), and they don't seem to wear out. A bit pricey, but well worth every penny. I have two flatpicks and a thumbpick so far, and will be ordering some more!

  2. i never thought 5 Star Review

i never thought that there would be such a big difference with the industrial made picks. Faster, rich tone, every single note is coming out perfect. Only now did i notice the scratching of my other picks on the strings. I play 6 strig greek bouzouki. Only drawback that in order to test the picks i have to buy them. I have to buy some thicker gauges. In the future maybe!

  3. Essential Equipment 5 Star Review

If you own a quality guitar, you must own a Blue Chip. There are great sounds in your instrument that are masked by conventional picks. Blue Chip picks, with a bevel and held at the corresponding angle, virtually eliminate “pick click” and allow your ear to focus on the tone emanating from the body of the guitar. This may be best described as a “more wood” and “less string” type of sound. I’ve found the TD45 to pair nicely with a Gibson slope shoulder jumbo. When strummed, the guitar has a prominent mid-range and the TD45 accentuated the bass in a complementary manner while retaining the highs. Although heavier plastic picks will also bring out bass, the overall sound tends to get dull and muddy in comparison. The Blue Chip provides clarity across the full spectrum of sound your instrument is capable of producing.

  4. Happy customer with my TD-40 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Jan 2014

My first BlueChip pick purchase was a TPR-45. I play with the corner of the teardrop so I thought the TPR with 3 of these edges would provide a long life (zero wear so far). I'm happy with this pick but the TD-40 feels much better to me and I enjoy the slightly thinner pick. The response and volume are better with the TD-40. I am very happy I took advantage of the free engraving offer so a good seminarian could identify the pick and call me that it was found. If I purchase any additional BlueChip picks I will definitely spend the money to have it engraved.

  5. Perfect Plectrums! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Jan 2014

I've been playing my Martin and Mossman dreadnaughts using BlueChip flatpicks and thumbpicks for the past several years and consider them to be essential equipment in my music. The flatpicks pull great tone from the guitars, glide effortlessly across the strings, and present a firm surface to grip. The thumbpicks are comfortable and present the same ability to pull volume and tone as the flatpicks.

    These picks are the best.

  6. Consistently amazing!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Nov 2013

I LOVE Blue Chip picks! This is my 4th and they are all different shapes and thicknesses and are all used for different things. This latest one is for my electric guitar playing. It provides fat tone with excellent clarity. It slides through the strings very fast and accurate. They never wear so the tone is always consistent and the pick never developed a ridge that hangs in the strings. The price seems really high for a pick, but in the grand scheme of your favorite past time, it really is not much money. In 4 years I have never lost a Blue Chip pick! If you have not tried one, give it a whirl, I am confident that you will see the value and possibly find something as close to pick perfection as is possible!!

  7. My second TD40 5 Star Review

Posted by on 20th Nov 2013

After receiving my first TD40 with a right bevel and loving it, I purchased a second TD40 without bevel; I wanted to have the option of a more mellow tone. The beauty of these picks is that they bring out a more centered, round, beautiful tone from your guitar. I did a "blind-fold" comparison on my wife, playing with other picks, as wellas the Blue Chips. She said the TD40s were "richer" sounding.

  8. TD40 for bluegrass guitar 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Oct 2013

I was skeptical upon ordering this pick. How much better than other picks could it really be? When I received it, struck a few chords and played a few single-note lines, I became a true believer real quick. Honestly, I could play a tad faster and accurately (probably because there was less friction) and the pick "felt" great in my hand. I've ordered another one.

Hands down the best pick I've ever used. Great tone, very fast and accurate. They don't wear out. I started with a heavier gauge and found the TD40 more siuted for my playing. I'll never buy another pick. Blue Chip TD 40 are the holy grail for me
