This is the TAD pick in 40/1000 of an inch(1.0mm) thickness. It is shaped identically to the TP, but is slightly larger. All BlueChip Picks are professionally machined, laser engraved, and hand beveled.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

The Perfect Pick for flatpicking on your acoustic guitar!
Blue Chip Guitar Picks are even as good as a real turtle pick

My first Bluechip Pick was a gift from a friend.
I have bought several as gifts and for myself since.
I keep one in pocket and at least one in every guitar case.
It the only one I use.

I have the TAD 40 and TP 48, best picks I have ever owned! Both warm up quickly and are very tacky between my fingers.

I had no idea that a pick would make as much difference as the TAD40 made for me. The picking and strumming is smooth and there are no pick artifacts in the sound...just pure tone. Definitely worth the price!

Could not believe the difference in my TAD40 from my other guitar picks. Much easier to hold and plays a much clearer sound. It is now the only pick I use.

I love the size of this pick. The TAD40 makes it easier to hold on to than other, smaller picks. BlueChips are like anything else, once you've had the best, you won't go back!

Couldn’t be happier with this pick! It’s so comfortable to play with I couldn’t imagine using anything else ever again. It also shipped and was delivered promptly.

Dammit, why didn‘t this occur to ME, of all people? I kick my own ass daily. Thing is- the brilliant thing is- it isn‘t about whether the pick itself is worth the price of 100 regular picks, or not. No, no, no. It is really about what improving the picking experience noticeably is worth to you as a player. And it turns out, that is forty bucks, all day long! Brilliant. My hats off. Yes, sure, it is a lovely thing. I love my TAD, though now I want to try a slightly smaller shape. What is even more beautiful however, is the thinking behind it.

I decided to jump into the world of boutique picks and went with the TAD-40. I've only ever played teardrop-shaped picks before, so when I first held this one I kind of didn't know what to do with myself. BUT, after playing for just a couple hours, I now find I really appreciate the "extra space" this pick provides and it feels weird to go back to a teardrop.
Not that I'm going back to teardrops with any regularity, though. This TAD-40 produces really great tone and glides over the strings. Fantastic!
