The STP is a smaller version of the TP. It is the same basic size as our Kenny Smith signature pick, but has sharper corners. The STP in a 50 thickness is the pick that Adam Steffey currently uses. This is the STP in 60/1000ths of an inch thickness(1.50mm). All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched. This pick comes with a speed bevel.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

I ordered this pick to compare with my regular TPR's. The STP is an excellent pick it just didn't suite but I prefer the sound & feel I get with a TPR.
I exchanged the STP for a TPR plus purchased an additional TPR; it all went well.
thanks for the great service.

I use a lot of different picks, experiment a lot. The STP60 is the right shape for me, and just recently bought one without the speed bevel, which I like a little more. Absolutely no pick noise, which is nice for recording with bright guitars, ala tele. One request is if you could make that shape with sharper points, like your Jazz pick? I'd buy a few!

I've tried many Blue Chip picks and as a flatpicker the STP 60 gives me great tone and projection when combined with a great steel string dreadnought and medium gauge strings. I like it's thickness and unique size. Sadly, I lost one in my large, cozy recliner and had to order another immediately. These picks glide effortlessly over strings and simply don't show any wear!

I love the small size of the STP 60, perfect thickness for mandolin playing. I get volume in decent tone. This three-cornered pic will certainly last for a very long time, definitely worth the money.

The STP 60 is the perfect size for my smaller hand, and for mandolin. The thickness is perfect, I get a really great sound from my mandolin now, volume without being tinny. Love the bevel. The Blue Chip picks are fairly grippy, but I add a little grip to the thumb by using a Monster Grip on that side. These are the only picks that I use now! They really do out-last any other pick I've tried, and with the Tri point you really get 3 picks in one. Well worth the money!

Having already owned a Blue Chip TAD60, I pretty much knew what I was getting with the STP60. The feel of the pick and the sound it helps produce are fantastic, smooth, and clear. I ordered the STP because I had been experimenting with smaller picks and wanted this size and shape from Blue Chip. This will end up being my go to pick for about 90% of playing. I prefer the smaller size compared to the TAD for flatpicking and everything up through moderate/heavy strumming. The size allows the pick to sort of stay out of the way. On fast and heavy strumming, I like the extra size of the TAD. I highly recommend Blue Chip and the STP size. Give it a try. It's worth it.

Best shape available - Goldilox pick. Absolutely perfect for guitar - electric or acoustic. Hope to use it on a mandolin someday as well. Nice fat full tone rolls out. It could go either way for me, the 50 or the 60. The latter being a little rounder in sound. They're worth it. I was certainly a naysayer for some time. Enjoy and keep pickin'...

I love Blue Chip picks and really like the smaller size-easier for
me to control.

A great pick. Good tonal quality when used with the mandolin I'm learning to play. It fits my hand well. Increased playing speed when compared to the other Blue chip picks I have.

I've spent "too much" money on these picks, and for the reasons already well covered by others, do NOT regret it!
This review is meant to specifically and highly recommend trying at least one in this particular size. It is smaller than a TD, bigger than a jazz, triangular (so you have three tips to essentially never wear out) and it fits amazingly in the index finger tip and first knuckle!!! Just really great control and I can't believe no one else makes a triangular pick at this amazing size.
I have all three and will be buying more every few months in case they discontinue them (and to promote BC picks of course). The STP50 is probably my favorite for general acoustic flatpicking and mandolin, but the 40 is terrific for detailed strumming and electric.
