Product Description

This pick was custom designed and created for Kenny Smith. It is the exact style that he is currently using. The Kenny Smith signature picks are very similar to a TPR, but slightly smaller. This is the 60/1000 of an inch(1.5mm).

Kenny Smith pick with a quarter on top. Note the size. This is a small pick.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  2. 3 PICKERS VOTE BLUE CHIP #1 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Aug 2019

After my own experimentation with Blue Chip picks, I decided to put it to the test. I chose two of my trusted friends and guitarists to help compare brands. All three took turns passing around my '74 D-41 and used four different brands of picks. The Blue Chip was the clear choice in tone, attack and speed. I am using the KS60, having moved from a TAD model and I look forward to experimenting with other models in the future.

No matter where I might go on my never-ending search for the perfect pick, I always come back to Blue Chip. This particular pick is perfect in size, thickness, and feel for my style of playing, which is jazz and blues.

  6. Best pick I've ever used 5 Star Review

It took a long time for me to actually purchase a bluechip pick. When i did, i stopped using all my old picks. It definitely works for me and the service is to notch. This particular pick is warm in tone and smooth on the strings.

  7. I was skeptical, but thought I’d give one a try 5 Star Review

I’m amazed by my pick. It’s everything everyone is saying about them. Now I’m getting fellow guitarists to try them too, and they’re also amazed. I say to anyone reading this to give one try.

  8. Best pick I've ever used 5 Star Review

I could not be more pleases with every aspect of this pick. I've gone through many picks and this one certainly has ended my search. It's the only flat pick I use now and I'm happy to not have to search anymore.

  9. Smooth and quick! 5 Star Review

Absolute best pick I have owned, serious!
Stays in grip even when fingers sweat. And the tone is simply more string and wood with very little, if any, pick sound.
I was skeptical at first but so glad I purchased this pick. Well worth the cost. And I can't wait til I try my next one!

Thank you for a great product!

  10. Surprised how much I like this pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Jul 2016

This is my 5th BC pick I think so I won't go into the materials or value, etc. The shape of this pick I never expected to like. I had seen it on this site many times and passed over it due to the small size and lack of a point. However, after a glowing review on Mandolin Cafe from some members, I decided to check it out. It took a few hours of playing to really get used to it, and I'm still not QUITE as comfortable with it as the larger sizes, but I do love it. It gives a little bit smoother more mellow sound than the pointed picks and both mandolin but especially on guitar. It gives a lot of that "Kenny Smith" sound, though you'll never be just like Kenny of course. I am starting to prefer it over the TAD 1Rs and 3Rs and CT55 that I had before.
