Product Overview
This pick was custom designed and created for Kenny Smith. It is the exact style that he is currently using. The Kenny Smith signature picks are very similar to a TPR, but slightly smaller. This is the 40/1000 of an inch(1.0mm) which is the thickness of Kenny's personal BlueChip Pick.
Kenny Smith pick with a quarter on top. Note the size. This is a small pick.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

5 Great pick for acoustic guitar
Posted by Walter Crockett on 13th Nov 2023
I tried a bunch of sizes and settled on this one. I love Kenny Smith's guitar touch, so that was a factor too. But the main thing that made me change from a Dunlop .96, which I have used for years and had just bought 72 of, was that this pick eliminates the shrillness of the pick noise. It's smaller, which takes a bit of getting used to, but I like its sound better than the BP 40. It's got a great touch, so you can just slip across the strings for the fastest passages or dig in for effect. My one recommendation for the BlueChip company is that they add on on-strap pickholder. I just bought the BlueChip pick pouch and will try it for now, but I don't need another doodad to lose, or to remember to pack, or to add to the my key chain. I need an onboard place to store a few picks in case I drop one at a gig. One of these KS 40s cost as much as 72 Dunlops. So think about adding that and I will buy one right away.

5 - Kenny Smith KS40 -
Posted by Alex S. on 8th Aug 2023
Smooth sounding pick, adds a little bit of bottom end where normal shape picks add a little bit of a mid point. Similar to using the shoulder of a normal shape pick. But, the round shoulder on all three sides is perfect. I own a CT55/TP48/TD40 and now a KS40. All four picks have their own voice through my D-18. Can't go wrong with a BlueChip Pick. Highly Recommend!

I've used a number of Blue Chips, I love the small size & control of the KS40.

I have been chasing a certain flat pick tone for a while and I finally am achieving it with this pick. The big difference to me is how you don’t hear as much pick noise.

4 Only pic i want ti use
Posted by Susie Q on 24th Jan 2023
I bought my first blue chip probably back in 2008 or so at the old gray fox festival location. I think it was $35 with the case. I really love this product but I’m absolutely devastated at the new price! Maybe there could be a sale or a buy one get one free every once in a while we could be notified about!

5 Amazing little pick
Posted by Clint on 25th Feb 2022
Compared to the TPR and the TAD3R I have this is quite a small pick. BUT it's a Blue Chip and with that it feels a plays very well. The KS40 is a very fast pick and makes the ability to use your finger tips with the pick very easy.
