The Jazz pick is very similar in size and shape to the Dunlop Jazz 3. This is the Jazz in 40/1000 of an inch thickness.(1.0mm) All BlueChip Picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched. This pick has a universal rounded bevel.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

This is actually my second Blue Chip Pick. That one got lost after a few days and I hadn't thought much about it. Recently, I got another one. I started with a Jazz 40 but it felt too unsubstantial in my fingers. I traded that in for a Jazz 60 which feels about right. Yes, as others say, it does glide over the strings and I like the tone. It's just a lot of money for something I have a bad track record of holding onto. Hopefully, this one sticks around more than a few weeks. I probably won't use it on gigs and reserve it for home where it's less likely to disappear. Only rating 4 stars because I'd feel right about this costing in the $20 range rather than $35+

Independent of size and shape, blue chip picks are the most comfortable and stable picks I’ve used. They glide over the strings to allow effortless increased speed in picking and increase the brightness of the sound in the process, making any (electric) guitar more versatile in the process. Can’t recommend highly enough.

The everlasting gobstopper of picks. This jazz 40 is the greatest.

I've tried a bunch of the bluechips, and kept getting smaller ones.
This one works perfectly for me, and is better in every way than the plastic ones, so I bought two.

I thought a lot before buying because of the cost. When I received it I liked it, but didn't think it was worth the money. After playing with it for a few months, it was the only pick I used, for both electric, and acoustic It seemed that the more I used it, the better it sounded, and felt.I lost it some how, and I couldn't be with out it. I ended up buying two of them this time!

but now I do! I can't believe I paid $45 (with shipping) for a freakin pick...... I was ready to be a skeptic and only bought one because of the return policy, but I'm totally sold. It really feels like your fingers and pick are one, and connect with the strings like I've never felt before. I've done a bunch of ABing with my jazz iii s and the feel and sound is so superior, its nuts!

I heard about your picks while searching online for old school jazz picks. I was a little skeptical about the claims but then I saw some of the people using them and thought they must be worth it.
They are; pick noise is greatly reduced, no more,"clicky" sounds on single note runs, the pick stays firmly in hand and seems to warm up to your temperature.
Chords are articulate and full sounding, whether playing quietly or with gusto.
I've been using the Jazz 40 on both acoustic and electric guitars and really loving it.
Much appreciated.

I love this pick. The feel and the fact that it doesn't slip from my fingers alone would make it worth the price, but the way it plays is amazing. It glides over the strings when I need it to and allows me to get the attack I need when the music requires a harder sound. I lost one of these and I couldn't wait to get my replacement. I am going to make sure I don't misplace this one, with care it should last for years.

I have a pretty sizeable collection of picks, and have gone back and forth with a few different brands over the years, and BLueChip has been in my collection. I had settled in with (Brand X pick), though, but grabbed my BC Jazz 50 recently after reading some players' comments about how much they liked theirs. I played with it quite a bit -- and liked it again, enough to try the BC Jazz 40, too. Same experience: I liked it! Nice feel, and great sound!
Grabbed my {Brand X) pick ... and it felt funny, which is surprising, since I had been using it for so long. I guess I'm back to being a BlueChip player! Thanks for the great product and service!
