The Jazz pick is very similar in size and shape to the Dunlop Jazz 3 pick. This is a Jazz in a 100/1000 of an inch(2.5mm) thickness. All of our picks a professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched. This pick has a universal rounded bevel.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

I learned of Blue Chip while watching a jazz video lesson. The price stunned me at first. Why so much money for a pick? Can they be that different, that much better?
Well, I decided to order one. It arrived. I used it. It is now the only pick I use. And I ordered another one. As well as the wooden pickbox to keep them in. As the little treasures they are. I'm not wealthy. I'm retired and on a limited income, but when finding something that is the best it pays to acquire it, if possible. And Blue Chip Jazz picks are the best I've ever used. I threw out all my other picks. Just be aware, be accountable, don't be lazy or irresponsible, and make sure you know where your little treasure is all the time. These picks make me a better player. Better tone.

Using these now for 5-6 years. Expensive, particularly if you lose them (easy to do), but this is the best feel and tone I've ever achieved. Glides across the strings,

BC picks are amazing. I have four different versions (Jazz 80, 100, 80LG, and IBJ 55. I use the 80 and 100 most often. I can't find a comparable pick in the "normal" price range; there just isn't anything that produces a similar clean, round, lyrical tone I'm going for when I'm playing clean through my Raezer's Edge amp. It matters less if you're distorting your sound, except that you get used to the smooth way the pick rides across the strings. The pick feels like it's lubricated but it's not difficult to hold. The beveling is perfect.
I also use Dunlop 205s and Ultex jazz 3s, as well as D'Andrea 1.5mm Plec, but that's just an effort to stay versatile. The BC picks are easily my first choice.

Blue chip jazz 100 might be expensive, but it feels great in the hand and goes smoothly over the strings the sound is great! Bright and clear tone. It feels like an extension of your fingers instead of a tool! It works for ever genre. However you do need to like picks on the thicker side!

This pick has the smooth string release of a rounder point while still maintaining the articulation of a more pointed pick. It also a much wider dynamic range then any other pick I have. I tested against multiple versions of the Jazz III (Primetone, Ultex, 2mm Ultex, carbon fibre, red nylon), multiple thickness of acrylic picks with rough finished bevels, and some kind of Wegen gypsy jazz pick. This pick is extremely responsive to how hard you pick. One can produce an extremely quite and soft sound. Other picks cannot produce as soft an attack no matter how light one's right-hand technique is.
I only play electric guitar, so I don't know how it would fare acoustically. I am torn between returning or just ordering more picks. I love the feel and the way it plays, the tone is nice too (very lively), but the attack doesn't seem to have enough "bite" for playing metal riffs. However, I do find that the pick imparts an almost piano -like tone, which is quite nice. Ultimately I feel like I will probably end up being a repeat customer. This pick definitely distinguishes itself among other picks of similar size and configuration.

This pick glides so effortless across the strings. I had one chip and I have lost 2 which is a kick in the shins because they are outrageously expensive. I went as long as I could without buying another until I couldn't take it anymore. This pick makes me a better player so.... I have to have it. The one that chipped, Bluechip offered to replace it but I lost it before I could mail it back... Kick to the other shin. They are brown and when you drop them... your heart drops with it. My whole band will stop and look for it because they know how much I love it... and how expensive they are. But again... the pick makes me a better player.

Best pick I have ever used. Fast, smooth, excellent grip. Lovely tone. Worth the money, $75, but I live in fear that I might lose it!

Incidentally I ordered this by mistake! But I figured I should give it a shot before asking to use the return policy, since there was some vacation-related hassle involved and I didn't want to trouble the good people at Blue Chip if I didn't have to. I found it to be an extremely fast, extremely controllable pick, with the only real limiting factor being how precisely I could play. If it weren't for my preference for more to grab onto - big hands - I'd have gladly kept and used this pick. But I did end up swapping it for the Jazz LG, which I had intended to order originally.
Still, while I had it, it was a killer pick and as stated probably the best small pick I've ever used, really fine control over the strings with that sucker. Anyone who knows they like a Jazz style pick should definitely give it a shot. If you like the larger size, make sure you order the right one ;)
