Inspired by Andy Wood, the IBJ55 pick is larger than a regular Jazz pick, and smaller than a Jazz LG. It has a universal rounded bevel and comes with 6 pre-drilled holes in the center. This pick is 55/1000 of an inch(1.4mm) thickness. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

It's just right, the offspring of a Jazz III and a Wegen BigCity.

Great pick! I use this one for acoustic and electric guitars.
Allows me to play really fast.

I have struggled with picks for many years.
They have alwAys sounded a little clicky & audible on contact !
They also don’t feel great I’m my hand !
I have several go too brands but after trying one of these
I am sold! My only fear is losing it & having to order another!
I guess I’ll have to order another

Tone junkies get it; once in a while comes along a brush to the tone palette that is just brilliant. The IBJ 55 brings to my playing a fresh dimension of versatility and tone like a breath of clean air. As a BlueChip enthusiast, especially of the large jazz picks, I hold this new pick up as my new favorite for several reasons. I love the round beveled edge; I've never had one and it rocks. The holes are a game changer! Tones generated when I play with this pick are special, they keep me seeking and satisfied all at once.

I always buy the TD45 so when I bought my latest one, I added this one to the cart just to try it. I love the holes. Would be great to have that as an option for the TD model.

I know this sounds weird, but let it warm up for a few hours and then start playing. At first it felt weird on the fingers and I moved it about a lot trying to find the best shape for it. Afterwards I took a break and came back in a few hours. Picked up my guitar and without even noticing it was pouring through the strings. I love it, I had my second thought because I always believed "oh it's just a pick" but I am eternally grateful to 5 watt world for mentioning this company. I have one pick to rule them all.

I have played for 35 years and no single piece of equipment has had more of a positive effect on my playing than this pick. It has broken things wide open for me. My playing is more accurate and fluid than it has ever been. I know it seems like a lot of money, but it is so worth it.

I know how great a picker Andy Wood is, and since he collaborated with this design, I bought this one just to try, although in general I prefer 2.0mm picks and up. After playing around with this pick for a couple weeks, I can honestly say it is definitely appropriate for economy speed picking. I can surely understand why Andy came up with this model. IMHO...because BlueChip picks feel great in the hand anyway, the hole inserts may not be necessary for grip, but I'm not a mandolin player, which could be the reason for them.

The IBJ55 is very forgiving. The angle of the pick attack doesn’t matter on feel or affect the way it sounds because of the point. I especially like the way the side acts for strumming. It has a little bit of point and is really expectantly nice feature. This is my second pick with the symmetrical round bevel and I think I prefer that over the bevel for right hand. This is my 3rd BlueChip pick and best all-around so far. I’m not a fan of the holes myself. The material is easy to hold on too anyway and I like the visibility of the lettering, but holes will add extra grip. You can’t go wrong with this one.

Perfect balance between tone and playability
