This is our dobro/resonator thumb pick in a size large. This is a slightly thicker blade design as compared to our banjo picks to withstand the more strenuous use on a dobro. It is constructed using a custom designed stainless steel band and a 60/1000 of an inch(1.50mm) thick BlueChip pick. These picks are laser etched, professionally machined, and hand beveled to create the best thumb pick available.
Size compares to a standard large thumb pick of any brand.

I had forgotten which pick I had bought, so I took a stab and ordered this one...it was not the one I lost, but in very short time I came to love it

As an oldie 'newbie' to both banjo and dobro I've got most of the other brands of thumbpicks to try out, but I thought I'd try a bluechip both the JD Crow model First time trying them, instant smile on my face. They fit perfect, are comfortable and stay on. I've got big hands and ordered the large model and its as if they are custom made for me. As a newbie, I'm a bit coarse/rough playing, but the picks stay exactly on my thumb whatever I'm doing. I know people have been playing banjo and reso for years with other picks, however, I'm happy with these and have stopped trying other brands. Definitely worth the money, thanks.

I have bought several thumb picks for playing my banjo lately trying to find something that feels a little better. I have several Blue Chip flat picks and I like them so I thought I would try one of their thumb picks. I was amazed as soon as I made the first roll...it is VERY VERY smooth. It also seems more comfortable than plastic picks. I am very happy with mine.

You hear it all the time, "I was skeptical..." but, this is the REAL deal.

I had already tried the CT55 pick and JDL thumbpick for my guitar and mandolin. Having recently got a Resonator lap guitar and wanting to order a backup pick and thumbpick, I decided to add on a Reso thumbpick to the order based on my satisfaction with those. However, a little voice in the back of the head was going 'whats the difference? you've got a JDL pick?' anyway, I got one. Now I'm just a hobby player, so this may just all be in the mind, but I like this Reso pick, and although I'm in the early stages of skill level, I'm very happy with it. I keep my JDL thumbpick with my banjo, and the Reso with my Resonator and so far they are both comfortable and fit and play perfect, I don't seem to make the silly mistakes I was doing before, maybe its a mind thing, but I'm happy to have both these thumbpicks.

This is by far the best thumb pick I have ever used. I was a little skeptical at first sight because I thought it would be uncomfortable due to the metal wrap. Man was I ever wrong. It is the most comfortable pick I have ever put on my thumb. I definitely plan to buy another one in the near future.

Good length and strength for playing my 30" baritone weissenborn. I do not have to reach for those bass strings while playing the melody on the top strings. Good on my National Tricone as well.

Other companies have some catching up to do. Secure fit and superior tone, the new standard
