Product Description

The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 60/1000 of an inch thickness(1.5mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. Best Pick Ever, However... 5 Star Review

Posted by on 30th Jan 2017

I could put my review on the shelf with thousands of others about Blue Chip Picks and it would get lost in the rave reviews. However there is one thing I guess I'd like to see as an option - I'd have started adding engraving not so much to identify my pick and to add a bit of security, but more as something to add a slight rough spot to help with keeping it in place while playing. The super smooth texture can make me lose the exact position of the pick and I think putting a little texture on it would help - not a deep, course pattern, but a mile grid pattern on the picks would help me keep the pick in place and allow me to rotate it exactly how much I need, when I need, and keep it from slipping when things get sweaty.

  2. TP 60 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Jan 2017

I've been playing with a TP 50 and TP 60. Both are great picks. For those enthusiast that seek mellow more woody tones, TP 60 is the perfect pick. I also find the TP 60 helps reduce string buzz, (when you pick a higher string unitensionallly aggressively). A TP55 (i think it's the CT55 on the website) would probably be my perfect pick.

    Love my Picks...

  3. Easy pickin 4 Star Review

I liked the pick so much I got another one, and a case for them, so hopefully I don't lose them, and like any product I ever like, i tell people, and I know of at least two who have also purchased a Blue Chip, but one of them is a scientist so he may be just taking it apart to see how its made.

  6. Champion Blue Chip Pick - my newest and favorite! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Dec 2015

Never thought I would be introduced to a pick that would improve my sound and performance! I was invited to sit in with some bluegrass fellas' ... Pretty good for a Irish folk singer like myself just to get the invite. But then came the education!! Took me about 20 minutes to get my legs under me when, a banjo picker, Wes, introduced me to Blue Chip TP 60. My kind of flat pick I tell ya'
    Thanks, Jon Healey

  7. My favorite - good size and thickness 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Dec 2015

This is my go-to pick. Have used one for months. Didn't really appreciate the sound difference until I went back and tried a different pick I had used before. There's a noticeable sound difference. Also the feel in my fingers, and on the strings is the best I've found.

  8. Great tone with pop 5 Star Review

Posted by on 17th Sep 2015

I have tried several BC picks now trying to get the sound I wanted. I have found the one.
The TPR 45 was to warm for me and not enough volume. The TAD 40 plenty of volume but to bright or thin. The TP 60 for me has pop I was looking for off the string while still maintaining some volume and warmth off my mandolin.

  9. Best Pick I Ever Handled 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Feb 2015

Hands down the best feeling and sounding pick I've ever used. Now I know why someone would pay $35 for a pick. I thought it was crazy too... until I had a friend lend me his BlueChip.

No string "hitting noise", Glides across the stings like butter. Every time I use a pick that is NOT a BlueChip, I am constantly irritated by how the inferior pick feels and plays.

    I'm hooked.

  10. This pick has changed the way I play guitar 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th Aug 2014

I have been a fan of BlueChip picks for some time. I started with the TD40, and then decided I'd try a thicker pick. I went with the TPR50, and then finally settled on the TP60. I have several of them, and they are just perfect for flat picking. I used to do a lot of finger picking with finger picks, but I find that I can do a lot of cross-picking, and can do it pretty cleanly, with the TP60.

I'm still a big fan of BlueChip picks.
