Product Description

The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 48/1000 of an inch thickness(1.22mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. Great Pick! 5 Star Review

Purchased as a gift for my husband. This is his second and he loves it. Engraving was great, delivery was quick. Highly recommend!

  2. best overall for my flat picking 5 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Jan 2024

This pick with a bevel turns out to be the sweet spot for my flatpicking- mostly bluegrass and fiddle tunes. Not too thick- not too thin. I have over a dozen blue chips and this is the one I have additional backups for.

  3. Been Needing This Pick 5 Star Review

Great pick all around. Nice feel, good thickness and width. They cost a little more but well worth the money. They are very durable.

  4. Best picks ever for me! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Jan 2024

I've been using Blue Chip Picks for years. I love them! Everybody should use them. I have Jazz and traditional models (for tele and les paul) and recently I wanted to try the TP48 becaues of it's 3 corners and thickness. I love using it on flat top guitar and mandolin. I couldn't be happier! Go Blue Chip! Keep up the good work!

  5. A pick every quality guitar manufacture should send with their guitars. 5 Star Review

I love this pick! It slides very rapidly across the strings( speed bevel option of course). I had a period of acclamation. After which, the clarity and balanced tone of single notes were astonishing. I honestly wish I had found this pick sooner in my life. This changed the sound and tone of my acoustic dreadnought profoundly. Thank you BlueChip for making such a wonderful product!!

Thus far enjoying the TP48. Have not had time to really enjoy yet, with the Holiday activities

  7. The Gold Standard 5 Star Review

This is a great pick. I've tried a few different expensive pick brands, and I always come back to my BlueChip. It sets the standard in my opinion.

  8. I Like it BUT............ 4 Star Review

Posted by on 22nd Dec 2023

I like the TP 60 even better! The extra thickness of the 60 feels just a little bit more "at home" to my picking grip. The TP 48 is solid, don't get me wrong, and both are the best picks I've ever used.

    Period.

  9. The TP48 helps me play and sound better! Really! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Dec 2023

I was skeptical - but this pick helps me articulate notes , move smoothly from string to string, and creates a crisp chord sound helping to cut through the mix at sessions. I’ll probably invest in a couple of more to have as extras.

  10. An incredible pick that lets me feel connected to every string that I hit 5 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Dec 2023

So I bought these to try as Billy Strings suggested them with the only reason being Bryan Sutton plays with them. I’ve tried many different picks over the years, but the Blue Chip TP48 really blew me away with not only the flow of the pick from string to string, but due to the grip that the pick provides, along with the perfect size, it let me get a grip in such a way that it felt like there was no pick at all when I would pluck a string. The connection between my brain and the string just became easy. It’s hard to explain, but when it comes to picks and guitars, when you find the right one, it makes playing feel effortless.
