Product Overview
The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 48/1000 of an inch thickness(1.22mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

5 TP48
Posted by Doug Ledford on 31st Jul 2019
The TP48 is my new favorite pick. I've used Bluechip picks for years. Folks, you can't wear these things out. Years of playing almost daily and no sign of wear other than rubbing off most of the Bluechip label print. Where they found this material, I don't know, but I can tell you it's some tough stuff. Recently I took a chance on a TP48 and I'm so glad I did! It's THE pick I've been waiting for. To me, it's the perfect shape and thickness. I really like that it's just a bit smaller over all than it's big brothers 50 and 60. I would encourage anyone who needs a point on their pick and likes the triangled shaped ones (Like getting 3 picks for the price of 1) to give the TP48 a test drive. I use mine mostly to play mandolin, but it's just as satisfying playing guitar.

4 top of the line pick
Posted by george manley on 29th May 2019
Hands-down the best pick I've found to date. Gives the loudest, most clear tone from my mandolin than any other pick I have used. No noticeable noise from the pick sliding past the strings. Will definately keep using this pick and recommending it to fellow musicians.

Amazing pick- really feel the strings. Also, in over a year of using BC picks, I've never dropped one- ever. Amazing material

I have been using a shell pick for years and decided to give the Blue chip 48 on advice from my teacher and I love it.

5 Another fine product

Already have CT55 which I love. Tone of the TP48 is brighter & it's obviously a smaller pick. Despite being smaller it's still extremely stable in the hand. I never feel like I'm going to drop either pick & they don't move about like every other pick I've tried. I like this one for ballads where I'm emphasising notes & bending them eg Muddy Water a la Seldom Scene.

5 A Versatile Flatpick
Posted by jgoalieman@comcast.net on 18th Feb 2019
I purchased the TP48 with the beveled edge. Although I do enjoy bluegrass flatpicking, I also use my guitar for singer-songwriter open mike nights where I am primarily strumming while I sing. The TP48 also works great for this function. Although it is rigid enough to execute a fast run of notes, it never makes strummed chord sound harsh or brittle. Everything sounds warm and full. The pick feels like an extension of me.

I have had many bluechips of the years but I think the TP48 is the best. It’s the perfect size and produces a great tone. Bluechip is an amazing company and I love their products so much!

5 The Best!!

I don't know how these picks are made or what makes them different but whatever it is makes them the best picks I've ever used. I have not been able to replicate the tone with any other pick.
