Loading... Please wait...The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 48/1000 of an inch thickness(1.22mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

I’ve been playing guitar for nearly my whole life since I started playing as a kid and I have tried all sorts of picks over the years in search for the right feel and string attack. Also as a professional musician myself, I was in search for that right pick that would deliver hour after hour and night after night…Admittedly, a Billy Strings fan I discovered what type of pick he used and found that it was this BlueChip TP48, so I decided to give it a shot for myself and it literally was everything I was looking for in a pick. This is my main go to pick now and I will definitely be coming back for more in the future! Thanks BlueChip for making such a top notch product!

My friend kept saying he wanted a guitar pick like Billy Strings uses(whom he really likes)!! I finally found it in stock & immediately ordered it & the cute gift box(which I had personalized). It was supposed to be a Christmas gift but I couldn’t wait that long! It was a big hit to say the least!! He wasn’t really sure about it at first because it felt so different from other picks he’s used, but after less than a week it’s his favorite!!

I was skeptical that this pick would make a noticeable different in my playing, but in the few weeks I've had it, I've noticed an improvement in the accuracy and speed of my flatpicking. I recommend that other players make the investment.

Have been a Blue Chip addict since their inception. Nothing like it!!
If you can not hear or feel the difference that's on you! I love the
TP48RB. For my banjo the thumb pick is wonderful and you can not wear it out.

After years of resisting paying for a blue chip pick, when purchased I found it is worth the expense. It feels great, giving me improved accuracy speed and sound quality, especially in flat picking and cross picking.

I ordered the TP 48 because I read that Bryan Sutton used one. I previously ordered a TD 45 and a TAD 50 for me and a TD 40 for my son. I am trying to learn bluegrass flatpicking and find these the best for tone, clarity, and speed. I have increased all 3 at least 30 bpm(bluegrass) since I bought over the last several months. I highly recommend the brand. I was initially wary of the claims but after buying and using one I became a follower. I am going to buy a TAD 60 at some point. I had to get use to the thickness…was using .88 picks before. Amazing transition. Sorry for the ramble. Buy 1,2 or 3!

First, I did not get paid for this review and given the incredible quality, I am delighted to share my experience.
Second, I am studied classical guitar playing finger style etc so I truly know what a decent tone sounds like.
Third, I have played many picks over the years. Didn't even know that BC exists until I bought a guitar and the shop owner handed me over his pick as I didn't have one ... and it was a BC. Without know what I had I played an incredible instrument, but funnily it was not the guitar which caught my attention, it was the pick. I couldn't believe that a pick plays like that and creates a tone only finger can do.
Fourth, meanwhile I have a couple and each and every pick is outstanding.
Fifth and finally on price, should they been cheaper. I love to spend less, but I do understand the price. I don't see value in criticism related to a price when it is still affordable while providing me with an experience I simple never had before.
So net net, a truly beautiful pick it didn't know it exists. The closest to ones own fingernails (assuming style and polished like a classic player would do). No noise or scratch, just pure tone - in my honest opining, the best I have every played.
And yes, the Santa Cruz Tony Rice turned out to be a great guitar as well ;-)

Took a little getting used smaller size, having used CT55 and TAD previously. Tone is more bright and snappy compared to thicker pick, which is a nice change from CT55 and TAD50.
