The best thing that's happened since Tortoise Shell. Tone is warm & Sweet!

  2. amazing sound 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Dec 2022

This pick wound up being a little larger than i was comfortable with but the sound and grip was enough that i just tried another model(stp40)
They have a wonderful depth of sound to them and a great natural grip.well worth the money

  3. Like all BlueChips, it's perfect 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Apr 2022

Of course the XR50 was exactly as described when I got it, just like the other 4 BCs I own. I have big ol' monkey thumbs, so the XR shape is great. In fact, it would be the perfect pick for me if it had the round XR grip at the top and a sharper point like the TP or TAD, but I digress. I'll just sand it until it's perfect. Otherwise, just another 1st class product from BC.

  4. Exceeds the hype 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Mar 2022

I bought this pick because I have been hearing all the hype about them. Everything they claim here was true for me. The pick sounds great, has a warm round tone and glides over the strings effortlessly. The Pick is easy to grip and stays in my hand. It is kind of bizarre, it looks shiny and seems slippery, but stays right were it should, in my hand. Great pick, I highly recommend. I use it to play Jazz guitar and americano styles and everything else, but those are the two styles I play most.

  5. New to BlueChip 4 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Aug 2020

I may have rated this 5 stars but this
Is my first attempt at using a BlueChip pick.
So far I’m extremely satisfied. My only concern
is losing it, but that’s on me. I didn’t point it
out to my guitar teacher but he said
“Hey, what’s that pick you’re using?”
I guess he’s a pick connoisseur and was impressed
by it. Right now I’m trying to use it as my go to !
Although the price is steep I recommend trying one because in the long run it should outlast a lot or cheaper picks. Treat it like gold, lol! Also, the service
    impeccable!

  6. I really enjoy using this pick! 5 Star Review

I ordered a BC pick in the thinner gauge to see if it had enough flex for me and it really was what I was looking for. Great customer service!

  7. XR 50 Experiment 5 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Dec 2018

I've been using a Jazz 50 pick for the last four years and I think it's the greatest pick ever. I decided to try something a little larger and ordered the XR 50. While I've been using smaller picks for a very long time, I was immediately comfortable with this pick and it's got the great Bluechip tone. Ultimately, it's unlikely that it will replace my Jazz 50, but it's fun to grab up every now and again.

  8. XR 50 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Jun 2018

My latest picks have been a Wegen M-100, a TPR 45, an XR 50, and a Dawg. I've decided (for now) I prefer the sound of a rounded pick vs. beveled, and I had been playing with the Dawg for the past few months. But last week I picked up the XR 50 again and found that it was cleaner, faster and crisper through the strings. And, the more I stick with the XR 50, the better the tremolo sounds - the strength of the Dawg in my opinion. So it's the XR 50 for now and the foreseeable future.

  9. Why bother with anything else. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 30th Apr 2018

    Pros:
    Best tone
    Lowest friction
    Least string noise
    Best grip

    Cons:
Missing a 'find my pick' chip and software app.

What else is there to say or do?

  10. XR-50 (mandolin) 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Mar 2018

Excellent tone from this pick. I modified the point by slightly rounding it to suit my picking style and for feel. It modified easily using 400 and 600 grit wet dry paper. I sanded it wet.

It's the same size as the Golden Gates I've been using so I grew comfortable with it quickly.
