  1. Precise, smooth playing, perfect 5 Star Review

Posted by on 8th Nov 2021

I bought this pick to compare it with CT55 and jazzLG60 to play my F5 mandolin.
This one is smoother than the others, a bit more quiet, but perfect to play. All 3 are complementary, depending on the style, speed and desired tone and volume.
    A must have!

  3. Great feel 5 Star Review

This is the 3rd TD I have purchased. I compared the new one to the ones I ordered several years ago and comparing them side by side I was amazed at how little wear was on the first ones I bought. What a great pick.

  4. Pricey but great! 5 Star Review

I love the way it feels and the way it sounds on my acoustic.

  5. Amazing tone and feel!!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 1st Jun 2021

I bought this pick mainly for electric guitar and it has been so much better than I had expected. There is no flex and it's quite thick but not too thick to be clumsy. The bevel makes playing fast passages a breeze. It just glides through the strings with no pick noise. My speed and accuracy has actually improved using this pick. The grip is fantastic! Even with sweaty hands, it stays put without having to keep a death grip on the pick. I've used it on acoustic too and it really has a very big and full sound without being overly bright. I use it for strumming and single note lines. I've been playing this pick a lot for well over a month now and it's showing barely any signs of wear, and I'm pretty heavy handed. I think I have found my perfect pick! I will definitely be buying another as a spare.

  6. great picks 5 Star Review

I have piles of picks at home, mandolin player, but only have six in my little, must have at hand plastic pouch and four of those are Blue Chips of different size and thickness but they all have the speed bevel. I've even imitated that bevel on one of my shell picks.
I often see comments about the price but good tone and smooth playing is worth it. Just don't carry them around in your pocket and risk losing one when you are fishing for pocket change!!!

  7. the flat out best pick ever 5 Star Review

Posted by on 13th Apr 2021

This is my second Blue Chip. I bought a TAD-3R and had it speed beveled, so I wanted a rounded tip compliment... the round tip TD60 just became my main pick. Like everyone says... it is exactly like holding nothing, and sounds incredible. The more I think about the VESPEL material, and try to understand it, the more my head hurts... So, when I don't think about it, and I play, I just get real happy.

    I know... I know... $35...

I took a friend out for dinner recently... bought a beer each and our meals... it came to $89 before tip... So, my friend's meal cost me $44.50... for less money than that I can have a pick that will never wear down and make me never worry about how the pick will sound. Seems kind of cheap when you view it as a lifetime investment...

Thank you for making such an incredible pick!

  8. Best teardrop pick I’ve played! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Apr 2021

I love my TD60!! It has a perfect balance of top end and sparkle but is full and round enough to keep from being too brash and brittle. I find the dynamic range incredibly pleasing, a soft touch brings out a full bodied warm tone but still cuts through a mix when digging in! I find the TD60 also glides effortlessly when playing choppy funk rhythms on my strat, which is where I find I like this pick the most :)

I have been comparing these to an STP50 and CT55, I found this pick right in the middle tone wise. It’s mellower and fuller than the stp, but brighter that the CT55. These picks are all amazing, I keep the TD and STP in my pocket for jams,

  9. Great Picks! 5 Star Review

Very fast material, and the speed bevel makes this pick fly off the strings. I try to use the heaviest pick possible for many different playing situations, these picks make that easy.

  10. Excellent 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Jan 2021

Years ago I quit using picks of both this shape and weight, but I heard Sierra Hull say she uses this pick on mandolin, so I thought it would be interesting to try. To my surprise, it’s very comfortable, easy to use, and has a great tone.
