Product Overview
The TD is a standard teardrop shape pick with two rounded corners and one sharper playing corner. This is a TD in a 50/1000 of an inch(1.25mm) thickness. All of our picks a professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.
Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

for a flatpicker, these picks have the best tone, and feeling in my hand, of any pick I've used in fourty pluss years of picking.

Great tone, nearly noiseless on the strings and very comfortable to hold. I have been using a Blue Chip pick daily for nearly a year and it shows no signs of wear.

i just love the feel & quality of blue chip. the sound is full and resonant. the td 50 is nice and firm but with a little give so i can use it for singer songwriter stuff as well as blues soloing etc

I had to see what spending $35 on a pick was all about. Hope I don't lose it. I love it. Also bought TD40. I like both. TD40 seems closer to my style so far. Did not appreciate paying high shipping rate.

I've used every pick you can possibly get your fingers on, and have never really considered myself a "pick snob", but there's no denying that BlueChip Picks feel, and most importantly, SOUND better. The TD50 is my personal favorite, and has a crisp, clean sound, without too much of that "ticky-ticky" noise that you get from most thinner picks. The only problem for me is not losing them!

I encountered the TD50 in a local music shop in 2009, and my playing experience hasn't been the same since. This pick draws a richer tone from my instrument using less effort on my part. It doesn't slip in the hand but is noiseless on the strings - a miracle if I ever saw one. For bluegrass players who want absolute stiffness in a pick, the 50 seems a good compromise between the more flexible 40 and the noticeably thicker 60. This is coming from a player who plays 1.5mm (60)in other picks - the superlative stiffness makes that much of a difference. If you haven't tried one of these picks, you should; you will find out that a bright sound can be warm, clear, and rich rather than thin. I've used the TD50 every day for three years, and it's holding up great. I plan on ordering a spare along with others of different shapes. At a price roughly half what a good tortoise pick costs these days, there are zero drawbacks to this pick.
