  1. Smooth picking & sticks to your fingers! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Oct 2019

    I don't claim to be a whiz-bang guitar flat-picker (I'm a banjo picker & LOVE their thumb picks!), but...
I enjoy picking the guitar, too. I have tried many different picks, thicknesses, shapes, etc. Until I tried the Blue Chip TD-40, nothing felt "quite right."
After only a few minutes with the Blue Chip, I discovered picking and strumming to be smoother and more accurate (not sure why, and don't care). I also found I am able to maintain a nice grip with my thumb and index finger. Is the Blue Chip pick worth it...even to a non-whiz-bang guitar picker? Answer: YOU BETCHA!

  2. Exactly what I've been looking for 5 Star Review

Posted by on 31st May 2019

so a little back story. I have been going back and forth on purchasing one of these picks for about 2 years now. its the same story you hear all the time... why would i pay $35 for a pick when i can get about 48 picks for the same price on amazon? well. the voice of reason was my banjo player. he swearssss by them. i got a chance to try one out at a newly opened vintage guitar store in my hometown. boom. sold. i immediately stopped playing. pulled out my phone and ordered the TD-40 (they had none in stock). i opted for the customization, just in case i dropped it and someone "picked" it up... see what i did there ;)

anyways, this is a grade A product and one that i recommend to all my picking brothers and sisters.

  3. Now use BC exclusively 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st May 2019

I've been using BC TAD-1R 60's with my mandolin and thumb picks for the banjo for years and used an old CT55 that I had lying around with my acoustic guitar and always thought it was just a bit heavy/thick. I picked up a couple TD-40's to try with the guitar and I am sold! The perfect size and thickness for the way and what I play (worship, folk, bluegrass, and jazz). A great pick!

  4. Solid! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 15th May 2019

I've used the yellow Tortex .83's for a long time. However, curiosity got the best of me and I ordered my TD40 about a month ago. It took me a few days to get used to the increased rigidity of a 1.0, but I adapted rather quickly and really enjoy the pic. I feel like the TA40 gives me a more consistent tone, is easier to play, and may even provide greater versatility in my pic attack. The beveled edge is nice and grip is never an issue. I think as the conduit from my strumming hand to the strings, this is the best pic I've used. Thanks!! -S

  5. Finally a pick that doesn't work against me! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Mar 2019

I had no idea how much resistance my other picks were giving me till I tried Blue Chip Picks! I've also used the same pick on a year's worth of gigs but I have to buy more to turn others on to they're amazement an delight.

  6. Whoa, Nelly! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Feb 2019

The hype is deserved, this is the nicest flat pick I have ever used, and as well this TD40 the thickest I've played with. The translation was seamless and it sounds soooo great on all of my guitars. I'm going to buy another a bit thicker, perhaps the 50. Who knew?

  7. The Best 5 Star Review

Best pick that I ever used. The speed bevel glides off the strings and they don't seem to wear out.

  8. TD40 - Great Pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Dec 2018

I have been playing guitar for over 50 years. So, as might be imagined, I've used a lot of different picks. This BCP is almost silent, while still providing the volume and attack I require. It gives a very nice tone and practically glides over the strings. I like this pick so much that I have asked for another BCP for Christmas.

  9. Believe the hype 5 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Oct 2018

Best Ive ever tried, and I've tried em all. After playing on one for 3 weeks now, I can confidently say that after 20 years of professional playing, Blue Chip lives up to the hype and then some. There's no going going back to anything else. THANK YOU!!

  10. Best i've ever used. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Sep 2018

As a enthusiastic amateur, I had a hard time justifying a $35 pick when I have dozens of picks around. Never even tried a "premium" pick before. A classically trained friend of mine said simply, "You won't regret it" and they last nearly forever. OK, he has never steered me wrong. I don't regret it! Makes me a better player; what else is there.
