TD35

I have been using this pick for about 3 weeks now. I have played eight 3 hour gigs plus several hours of jamming with friends. So far, I do not see any wear on the pick. It feels really nice in the hand. This pick has a very good texture. The tone from both acoustic and electric is very warm. I am used to playing with a Fe**der medium and this is just a little stiffer (thicker). But I have gotten used to the difference and have grown to really LOVE my Blue Chip Pick !!

This is my second Blue Chip--the first one is a TP-1R40. I like them both--this one when I want the thinner, more nimble one, the other for its richer, fuller sound (not that the sound isn't great with this one--they're just different). If I'm not buying another one soon, it will only be because I don't need it.

I have been playing guitar for over 50 years. I have tried every pick out there that I know of. The Blue Chip pick is the best pick I have ever used. It is fast, smooth, accurate, and sounds exceptional. I have used this pick every day for two and a half years and it still shows almost no wear. I just got a new one with my name on it. The name part was free. Nice.

I have found (and made) several picks over the years, which sound good but quickly lose their edge, shape, and thus sound. The mandolin has quite highly tensioned .009" strings at the top end, and fast tremolo on these takes it's toll on a pick. The nature of the material of the BlueChip survives better than anything else under these adverse conditions. This added to the very smooth string release and the solid, tacky feel of it between finger & thumb makes it my pick of choice, and well worth the high price. I take a standard TD40 and change it's shape to suit my style.

I don't really have any criticism of the pick, it worked fine, sounded fine. But at least for me, it didn't work or sound any better than the Wegen Bluegrass picks I usually use, and they are 1/8 the price. I sent it back for a refund, which was done promptly.

This is my third BlueChip pick and I can't imagine ever being without it. I also have the TD40, but I wanted something with a little more flex, so I opted for the TD35 as well. For fast dulcimer old time tunes that are primarily strummed, you can't beat this pick. Hardly any "pick clack" against the strings or the fretboard and nothing but that patented smooth BlueChip feeling. Awesome pick!

this pick seems smaller in size than than the one i bought a year or so ago. its overall diameter needs to be slightly bigger. Have you cut the size down?

The pick is pretty good. I am not very used to playing one as stiff but am starting to get more and more used to it (used fender mediums before). Only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is the price. Not sure I will buy another one due to I cant see myself spending this kind of money on guitar picks.

I bought the TD35 to replace similar gauge Gibson and Tortex picks. It is an incredible upgrade in terms of tone and playability. That said, I’ve learned heavier gauge Blue Chips can bring out even more sonic goodness in your strumming without adding mud like a plastic pick. So don’t be afraid to go a little heavier than your normal gauge with these.
