Product Description

This is the TAD pick in 60/1000 of an inch(1.5mm) thickness. It is shaped identically to the TP, but is slightly larger. All BlueChip Picks are professionally machined, laser engraved, and hand beveled.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. TAD-60- 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Oct 2013

    tempo.....

  2. TAD 60 5 Star Review

Very bright. Speed bevels could be wider and longer for a warmer tone. .060" thickness is good, but would like a .070" better. All over a good pick. Very durable.

  3. The best pick so far 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th May 2013

After trying several different picks I find this and the CT55 the best picks for flat-picking. It made an immediate and noticeable difference to the cleanness and articulation of my playing. Easy to hold with a very gentle stickiness which helps in the fast runs and a smooth tone

  4. Second Blue Chip Pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 29th May 2013

I was given aBlue Chip TPR as a gift a couple of years ago and really liked it. While at a Bluegrass Festival the end of April I tried a TAD 60 and liked it also. I now use the TPR 50 for my guitar and the TAD 60 on the Manolin. The "60" feels better on the Mandolin. I recommend Bluechips to all my friends. They are the best thing since sliced bread.

  5. TAD 60 - for Mandolin 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd May 2013

I think all of the Blue Chip picks are great. I use a lighter one for guitar, but, for mandolin, the TAD 60 is perfect. My preference is the round bevel...but, that's a matter of taste. My pick search for guitar and mandolin ended when I found Blue Chip. Just a matter for finding the one you like.

  7. wonderful pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Oct 2012

Great tone and feel. I like the TAD 60 even more than my CT 55 because I seem to need the extra thickness for control. I now use the CT 55 as my guitar pick. Both picks have enhanced my speed and accuracy and enable me to produce a warm woody tone. I'm a satisfied customer.

  8. TAD 60 superpick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 9th Aug 2012

Never thought I'd order a 35.00 pick...but having used/bought so many different styles of picks with as varied a range of materials I suppose it was a natural progression. I really was struck (oops) with the natural sound of this plectrum against the strings. The sound of the pick actually becomes a part of the guitar's reasonance rather than a noise on top of it. Swapping back and forth between different materials confirmed to me the inherent excellence of the material Blue Chip uses. The stiffness of the TAD 60 is surprising for the thickness, really great melodic attack on the strings at any struck force. I am a convert. I mostly use it for acoustic guitars (6 & 12), mandolin and 3 & 4 string CBG's

  9. Awesome tone and durability! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Mar 2012

I play a bunch and tend to play a bit too hard on stage. I was knocking chunks out of some other picks (like 2 or 3 picks per show) then having to sand and re-polish before the next show.

I've been using my current Blue Chip TAD 60 for 8 months or so and it's still rocking! Several touring pals of mine (who evidently play with more finesse than I) are getting YEARS out of these picks with virtually NO wear!!!!

I'm totally sold on Blue Chip picks for a reliable tone that will last and last and last and last...!
