  1. Easy to grip, no pick noise! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Feb 2022

I love my new TP50-1R pick. I was hesitant to pay that much for a pick, but I have to say, it is worth it! The pick doesn't shift around in your fingers and I love the speed bevel. Notes come out crisp and clean.

I am thinking about purchasing the next size up as well (1.5mm). Thanks for a great product!

  3. Best Guitar Pick Ever 5 Star Review

I’ve tried many different guitar picks in the past. The Blue Chip for me is hands down, my favorite of all time. Easy to hold, easy grip and sound great!!

  4. The only kind of pick I use anymore 5 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Oct 2021

After using the same TP40-1R for about six years (yes, the very some one), I decided to go with the TP50-1R to improve my tone on my Martin D-18. I'd tried a friends TP50 and liked it. So there was no risk involved in this purchase. Now I use the TP50-1R all the time.

Blue Chip is the only kind of pick that really satisfies me anymore.

My one concern with Blue Chip picks is finding it if I drop it. The brown color blends into almost anything. How about some fiesta colors!

  5. Like it a lot, wish I had selected the next thickness maybe 4 Star Review

This is my first Blue Chip pick. I really like having the rounded corner of the TP501R for those times when I want a softer attack. I purchased it primarily to use as an acoustic pick, but I'm equally impressed with it on my electrics. Everything I've read about the BCs were also my experience - nicely beveled, a minimum of pick noise, very comfortable non slip grip.

The only reason I gave it four stars vs five is that it's slightly brighter than I expected. I was seeking a darker attack for my acoustic tone. I'm thinking I should have gone for the next thickness. In a way I can't fault the pick for that, but at $35 a pop that's a pretty expensive trial and error experiment. Down the road if I buy another I will definitely size up one thickness.

  6. I just keep buying more! 5 Star Review

This is my 4th BC, including the one I foolishly lost at a festival. These have my favourite string attack of any pick, and this 50 with one rounded corner is superb for acoustic and electric guitar. I’d previously owned 35s in TD Shape and this 50 is a great step up in volume and also resistance to the strings. I recently received a 55 as a gift and I just love them all. The stiffness of the 50 is ideal, for me. Thanks BC! Great pick! Oh, and if someone found my Monogrammed TD35 at that festival, please make great use of it!

  7. i would buy another one. 5 Star Review

Why play a guitar that cost thousands of dollars with a fifteen cent pick? If you buy one and don’t like it I will make you a offer.

  9. versatile/ multipurpose 5 Star Review

For years I loved the TAD 50 and still do. Having the use of a rounded corner of the TP1R for mandolin gives it versatility.Slightly smaller makes it perfect.
