Product Description

The TP is our classic triangular pick in a 50/1000 of an inch thickness(1.25mm). The TP is the same size as the TPR, but has slightly sharper corners. All of our picks are professionally machined, hand beveled, and laser etched.

Quarters, Nickels and Dimes, if included in the pictures, are for size reference only. They are not etched on the picks or included with the sale. To use this reference, please place a coin on your current non-Bluechip pick and then compare to the pictures of our picks with coins on top of them. This will help you choose the pick that is closest to your current favorite size and shape.

  1. The TP 50 - a great sounding pick for many kinds of playing 5 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Sep 2022

I have been using the TP 50 for the past four years and it is my favorite pick. It is easy to hold, it is fast, and it helps me get a sound that is clearly articulated and warm without sounding muffled. I also find that it works well on all of my guitars in a variety of playing situations.

  2. Another BLUE CHIP fan is born!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 1st Aug 2022

We chipped in and bought our 10 year old mandolin player (Paula Dellenback and Fox River) this pick after I had let him use mine. He proceeded to go out and WIN Youth Mandolin Competition at Sparta, NC Fiddlers Convention !! He will be a Blue Chip fan for life!! I carry 5 different Blue Chips with me and let anyone who wants to try them use them so they can see the difference!!

  3. Best pick I ever used. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 10th May 2022

This is the perfect pick. I don't know what it is, but this pick stays put in your hand. The sound from my instrument was never better! The speed bevels make it glide through the strings with no pick noise. I will never use another brand. The TP-50 is it!

  4. I know what you’re thinking… 5 Star Review

Posted by on 25th Mar 2022

I know what you’re thinking, there’s no way this pick is better than a standard .50 cent pick. IT IS. BUY IT. I can’t explain it, and neither can Blue Chip, less they let their secret out of the bag for their competition to take advantage of. Absolutely. The. Best.

  5. Learning to love guitar again 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Feb 2022

The pick itself is exceptionally made and sounds great, but what it does best is let me play, enjoy, and get lost in my instrument in a way I thought I had lost. Tremendously joyful experience.

  6. Slippery Smooth Buttery Pick 5 Star Review

This pick has been solid so far. Skips strings like butter and feels so good in your fingers. loving it so far.

will be getting another pick type later on for sure.

    thank you bluechip!

  7. It really grew on me 5 Star Review

Posted by on 20th Feb 2022

I stuck with this pick, and despite my last three star review I'd like to revise that to 5 stars. I've put a lot of hours on this and I'd say 100% worth it, just took a little to grow on me. GREAT pick.

  8. The perfect pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 9th Feb 2022

The TP-50 is the perfect pick from Bluechip. I’ve owned several different shape Bluechip picks and I always find myself going back to the TP-50. These picks really bring out the best in my guitar and my playing.

  9. Just okay 3 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Feb 2022

I was reading a lot of reviews and I really don't get it. Maybe this was the wrong pick for me but I really was hoping this would improve my guitars tone and playability. I have done recordings that show its really negligible. Maybe Id prefer a different size or shape, but this one doesn't blow me away at all.

  10. Great Pick 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Jan 2022

I like these picks. They are comfortable to hold. The play quick, and the sound they produce has a rich balance of warm and bright tones with clearly articulated attack.
